This place is absolutely fantastic. I'm here until Thursday. Staying in a hotel in DTC and then tomorrow heading up to Estes Park for my best friends wedding. My wife and I took a road trip yesterday up US40 through Winter Park to US34 and as far as we could into Rockies National Park before they made us turn around. It was snowing its head off. Let me tell you, you X-ers that live up in this part of the country, we truly envy you. So much so that my wife and I just started poking around at housing costs. Heh. I think we've both fallen for this place and we feel like we need to move now. Thanks Colorado.

I'd have to say that I truly could not live anywhere else. Austin perhaps, maybe even Maui, but in the end, I'd always come back to Colorado.

Housing is actually a little cheaper in the foothills. Morrison area is great. I live in Morrison (technically, though I'm closer to the town of Conifer than the town of Morrison).

Glad you're liking it here so far.

Wish I could throw out a couple a nice places to hit up, like Frisco and Breckenridge, but they're nothing compared to Aspen and Snow Mass so I hear.

Aspen sucks! If a**holes were trees, Aspen would be a national forest. LOL, it IS in a national forest! :lolz:

Snowmass is pretty cool, but it's getting more locals only-ish. I worked up there for a summer when I lived in Basalt. That whole valley used to be way different.

If you're lucky, I've heard Schwarzenegger has been spending some time up there lately. I don't know if he still has his house up there or if he lost it in the divorce. Personally, I'd hate to run into Skeletor up there! :)

But you've hit up Estes already, Breck is cool. If you're in the DTC, Cool River Cafe is the shizzle! I used to live just down the street and walked up there. Great food!

If you were to head north on I25 and get off on Hampden, take a left (head towards the mountains), then you'll end up in my neck of the woods. Morrison, then Conifer, Bailey, real Colorado. If that doesn't convince you to move up here, you're dead inside. :)

My wife and I went through Morrison on Saturday. Neat little town. Staying in Estes tonight through Wednesday. Have to drive back down to the plains on Thursday to fly out around 6pm. S I'm going to try and make a few more stops on the way back to Denver. This is just an epic place. Love it. A lot.

Went on a trip to Colorado this year and fell for the state very fast. Found a little town called Salida. Plan on moving there when my daughter graduates high school. Great place!
