TJM Snorkel Install - Anyone have any experience?

There's no little info on the snorkel install on the web. Seems like it's all Navara and airflow posts. Looking for pointers, hints, ANY info before I do this tomorrow. Here's a link to the snorkel.

I've seen a few of them. Honestly, unless you're constantly fording deep water, I'm questioning the necessity of it for my rig. But, I think there are some videos on youtube.

Most of where we go around here is all deep water and I've been up the doors consistently over the years. I had it on my Tacoma and I wouldn't go without it. I also spend a good bit of time in the sand which is nice to keep out of the intake. I already have, just want tips to install it.

I've only been in one situation where a snorkel would have been useful. I also live in the high desert.

Did you post get a template with it? I would almost say it would be worth it to grab a spare fender to cut a hole in.

I have a template but I was told you need to make a fold in it somewhere. Even the Xterra snorkel they offer was never actually made for the xterra so it's not as cut and dry as a tacoma or something.

I got my 1st Gen snorkel from eBay. It was for a Nevara. Had "Nevara" text embossed on it. It was not an exact match to the 1.5 fender. But. It was close enough that nobody would ever notice. It took some test fitting to find the right spot to line it up with the top curve of the fender. And it had a bit of a gap at the back where it started to curve upward.

But.

I thought it fit really well.
