Well after reading up here and every where I have lots of info and no real answers..
Im looking to upgrade to a AT tire but tire weight is a concern. Im trying to get the best of both worlds.. Cool looking tire and a min of MPG loss.

2009 Xterra - X Steel rims
Stock 265 70 16 rims 38-40 lbs per rim x 4 = 152-160lbs (weight seems debatable on Xterra forums)
BFG Long trail 35-40 lbs 30.6" tall 10.6 Wide x 4 = 140-160lbs

Adding:
Nissan S Alloy rims 27 lbs per x 4 = 108lbs lbs

Goodyear Duratracs E
285 75 16 33.1 11.30 wide 55 lbs x 4 = 220 lbs

BFG KO E
285 75 16 33.0 11.30 wide 55.7 lbs x 4 = 222.8 lbs

BFG KO D
285 75 16 32.80 11.40 wide 58.2 lbs x 232.8 lbs

Is there anything Im leaving out ?

I wouldn't have believed it if you insisted and swore it to me, but I do think your worse than me over tires. (Not much though....)

What do KM2's weigh? You know you want to......(I talked myself out of them.)

When I talked to you about this, Keep in mind my tires are 60lbs each. Also the further the weight is from the center of the tire the more momentum it will have or the more force it will take to get rolling. I did notice a change when I went to mine. I can't tell you what the MPG change was since I also switched rims at the same time. I have the pro comps so the tires stuck out further.

KM2's weigh 59lbs in 285x75x16 E

Go with the BFG KO E's

I have saw km2a at 58 to 59lbs

Yeah I want to keep the family truckster as mpg happy as I can.. Since its not a true trail truck right now.

I've heard they wear fast, but look at the Firestone Destination AT if your looking to keep mpg. I've owned a set and they are a good looking tire, but I can't speak for them off road. I will say they did good on the road, I didn't cut them any slack and they stuck to the road well.

I didn't go with them because I wanted more off road traction than they offered, but if I decided to get back some MPG's and still have a little bit of off road tread, I might consider them again.
