New turn signals!

I thought it was a bit daft to have the turn signals show which way your about to go when you first said that you were going that way when you flicked the post and the fact that they are one the left and right side for the respective signal so i made them into lights

i dont know, i always had the idea to have tan and black theme throughout i just hadnt found the hue of tan i really liked. then one day i was at wally world and found that color and really liked the color of the cap. so i bought a can pulled off the oh no handles and tested it out and really really liked it and just took it from there. i honestly didnt think it would have turned out like it did. the a pillars and handles are actually a little bit darker than the rest of the dash even though i didnt do anything different prep wise. and the pictures dont really do it justice. learning how to use that rattle can took so long i was lucky the top part of the dash turned out like it did. the cover is so smooth its unreal, i wish i could capture it in a picture to show you guys. but everything else i had to sand back down and redo because that paint always did something i didnt want it to do. it was either super thin or really runny. finding that sweet spot was a chore

Just come to NXM and show it off.

i just looked throught NXM3 thread with the pictures from last year and that is really tempting. right now im saving for an austin trip in november to go to the F1 race and im not even sure ill be able to save enough for that. one of these years i will make it out there along with Moab. if i build it, it will go

yeah trust me i know i would much rather be there than the race but to get there means so much work on the truck with moneys i dont have :( i just found at least one exhaust leak at the flex pipe and im pretty sure i have a cracked exhaust manifold, then i need my lifts and new tires

I wheeled at NXM completely stock. I think that I am going to be running a stocks and slightly modified group on a run. I had so much fun completely stock, you don't need lift or tires, I can get you through everything.

Looks good man! Interior came out great. I did something similar with my armrest, except I used the ol' Jolly Roger's across it! That Nutmeg came out excellent on the plastics.

I like that man. Did you just take those off and wrap them and glue them in?

yeah basically. i ripped off the original fabric, sanded down the extra foam that thought that their marriage to the door card would last forever and used 3m tacking glue, and used the seam to cut the fabric to fit. its not hard just very time consuming and the glue is key. the mist will not work. also what doesnt work that well is to paint the door card and then try to do it just ask me why

ok here is finally an update. its been a while and i got tired of the paint and plaid. i have always wanted a leather interior so i ordered some faux leather that feels awesome and started wrapping everything. i started with the doors

in order to get the map pockets done i had to drill out the plastic rivets and pull everything apart and then i used bolts to reattach everything. i really like the look of it too. a lot better than if everything was smooth.

next i moved onto the center console

while i was in there i also replaced all the speakers

and the head unit with something thats actually capable of playing music

im in the process of moving back home to houston so everything else will get done once i get back. im planning on redoing my headliner with the tan and hopefully be getting a new upper dash and get that done. then move onto everything else, b pillar, c pillar, rear hatch and trunk area

3M auto general adhesive its a tacking glue. it comes out like silly string. super strong stuff once completely dry but you can still manipulate your material until it does dry. its great stuff
