Hey Folks.
Been lurking for a while. Here goes my first post here.
I have an '03 XE that I bought a couple of months ago. It still has the OEM shocks and the ride is rough, to say the least.
I'm about to put new/better shocks on it and wanted to make sure I'm making the best decision for my needs.
My X has the stock ride height and I don't plan on changing that. It's my daily driver and spends a fair amount of time on the highway, but I do intend to take it off the pavement and get it on some trails (mostly in Georgia).
I'm leaning towards the NISMO shocks sold on 4x4parts.com (https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/nismo-by-bilstein-shock-kit-p-6255.html). Seems like a good deal. But I wanted to see if I should just go with, say, Bilstein 5100's instead. As I understand it, the Nismos are basically just tuned 5100s. Is that right?
I do plan on removing the rear sway bar while I'm under there with the shocks. Could that influence my decision with choosing which shocks?
TIA for the help.
Bobby
