Synthetic vs conventional - X runs smoother on synthetic.

I switched to synthetic a while back. Recently had someone do some work on the X and they put in conventional. I noticed that the truck ran pretty rough. Put synthetic back in and it is running nice and smooth with less engine vibration and noise.

Anyone else notice that synthetic helps keep the truck running smoother?

Could this be a sign of something bad happening internally? X has 96,600 miles.

Have your oil tested by blackstone labs (http://www.blackstone-labs.com). They can tell if there's any excessive wear, coolant leakage, it other issues. On my last test, they saw higher wear than previous tests, but I ran the oil for 7500 miles rather than 6000, and I was in a fabulous Amarillo dust storm.

I've been running full synthetic for most of the life of my X. Shes been running smooth and strong ever since and Im pushing 125000 miles and only had the timing chain done because nissan puts only the best parts in as tensioners lol. But besides that problem none others. And with synthetic ya get longer life out of the oil. 5000-7000 miles between changes. So worth it

Mine had synthetic in it when I got it and that's all I've used in it. I guess what I'm saying is, this is a useless post that doesn't answer your question in any way.
