Shoe Creek and FR246 - Sunday August 3rd

I have not done Shoe Creek before, and it looks like there is another trail really close called FR246. I haven't seen any pics of this area, but it's located on the VA legal OHV trails map. I want to take my family up for a LONG day trip to this area. Wanted to see if anyone else wanted to join in the fun. I will have the Xterra on a 3.5" lift in the front and 4" lift in the rear, newly installed as of this week, so I want to get it fully tested out for a trip with some wheeling. This area is about 3.5 hours from me. I'm expecting to hit the trails by 10AM, run Shoe Creek North to South, then a ride over to FR246 (unless someone knows about this and it's not worth it).

I would normally be all over this man, we have run Shoe a bunch of times.

It's a decent trail, you can go up and back down within 3-4 hours. That other trail you mentioned is not too bad either from what I understand. We had some VAXC guys hit it last year and they said it was really overgrown.

I think Big Levels is in the area too. What about doing that one instead or as well? I know you're on baby watch though. When's the man's baby shower?

Not having one, we are in baby watch for sure though. Have to be within a half hour radius of her and the hospital at all times. So yeah, I wont be able to swing this.

Big levels can be tricky from what I understand. But there are going to be some new other guys from Facebook up at Shoe. Gareth posted something on the facebook group about it.

I wish I could...but after just getting back from my honeymoon and still recovering from the blow to my checking account, I can't take on any trips for a while
