rocky mountain vs dynapro mt

Bought an X
Like the title say I want to get either the falken rocky mountain or the hankook dynapro mt. The rocky mountain has a 50k warranty which is nice. But since my fj is just my weekend driver and offroader mud terrains iight be worth it? Opinions?

I've heard good things about both tires. To me it would boil down to at vs mt. The falkens will most likely ride better and last longer, but the hankooks will probably have an edge offroad.

Hankook also makes a dynapro at, just throwing that out there.

Are you looking for aggressive look?
Believe it or now the Duratracs are the best of both worlds.. Great on road.. Pretty good off..

I guess it depends on how much driving you'll be doing on the weekends vs wheeling. I really like my duratracs but can't attest to their off road prowess yet.

If you are just looking for a BA tire and you have another vehicle for driving most things then the mt might be worth a gamble.

The Dynapro MT is a great tire, and has very good road manners. They wear very well too. I'm picking mine up in a couple months after I get the BL done.

neighbor had 35" dynapro MT's on her 4dr JK and she had TONS of trouble with them gumming up and not clearing, and their offroad traction around here (especially on the rocks) was abysmal...she got stuck in snow that my X with stock tires didn't slow down in, as well as getting bogged down pretty bad in mud.

They may be ok on an xterra, but, they were amazingly horrid on a 4dr jeep

If the fj is just a weekend toy go for a full mud terrain you won't regret it, look at km2's or Toyo m/ts

agreed, go KM2's, they're fantastic....I haven't had any trouble at all with them letting me down anyplace that any other tire could have possibly gotten me out...
