Rear torsion bar anchor removal

Hey y'all. I have some new SAW torsion bars and want to know how difficult it is to remove the REAR torsion bar anchors from the old torsion bars. I've re-indexed before for the PML so the front anchors won't be too hard. I just don't want to get the bars out and not be able to swap the rear anchors. Thanks for any input.

They are splined and fitted with low tolerances. If you have any rust, it will be a challenge.

Yeah even after soaking I had to re-index at the rear on one side but the other side I had to re-index at the front because I couldn't separate them. Any corrosion makes it a pain.

Figured I'd hear that. New anchors are so damn expense; I'm going to start PB'n the hell out of them now.

Don't heat them. Weakens the steel and they could fail down the road...

PB Blaster and a hammer. It's the only way.

I have spares: front and back anchors, and the adjuster bolts. If you are interested in making your life easier, I can sell any parts of it to you.

But as others have said...brute force.

Oh, don't heat them, eh? I didn't know that, I may have to replace mine, but not sure yet...

Any and all I've seen fail had at one point been heated red hot...
