Rear Main Seal issue & using seafoam

So, my truck is leaking oil bad. I mean embarrassingly bad. I want to take it to the shop and get it checked out but it's my DD and I know it's going to take a little while to pin point the final problem. My initial guess was the passenger side valve cover gasket. But I've cleaned that up and it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore. (I'll still probably get it replaced though.) Planning on running to Auto Zone for another can of Engine Degreaser and probably an oil change kit. Next guess was a brake line leaking, but that just got replaced with the whole new set of brakes front and rear last week. After every drive, no matter how small, the truck smokes. Mostly from the passenger side. Does this sound like the rear main seal, or are there any other ideas of issues I should check out first before diving into the money pit?

Plus, with an issue like this, could I possibly Seafoam the truck? I've lost quite a few MPGs over the last few months..... I think I'm down to about 14 MPG now.

The smoke sounds like the exhaust manifold. Pretty common. I fixed mine with headers. :)

I threw on some DG headers too, but "I think there may be a crack in the passenger exhaust manifold" was my weak excuse to pull the trigger.

As far as Sea Foam, I've been doing it roughly every other oil change for the past seven years and I can always tell a difference. I'd say go for it.

Smoke wouldn't be the rear main.. Mine is weeping oil.. But just small amounts...

It does sound like a valve cover gasket... If you sea foam do it with your hood open... It may actually make it easier to see what the issue is... If the manifold is cracked you will see the sea foam smoke come out the cracks

Good call. That's how I found out mine had cracks in it.
