So my place of employment is currently a school district here in PA. We have a huge garage that the students do work in for their classes and so on. I do however have access to the motoralldata software. Should be pretty updated. I don't know exactly what info I can find in it. But it's loaded up good. I used it for my 04 when I had some engine codes. Runs ya through what could possibly be wrong.

Hit me up if you ever want me to look anything up for anyone. Not sure if anything like this is already available or not. If so the mods can delete this post.

Jesse.

Assuming I will remember when i get there in a few more hours! 7am...I'll see what year it goes up to. I work in the IT dept there and we haven't heard anything about an update. Unless of course its done via the web automatically. Again I use it when I have an issue. But pretty sure I can get whatever anyone should need. Its the same software that most dealers would use.

That's awesome man, what kind out data is available?

Here is a quick screen shot of a little part of the screen I see after choosing a vehicle. 2012 is what its updated to so far. There are some 2013 cars in it but nothing for Nissan.

Basically if you were to take your X to a Nissan dealer for a problem that you didn't know how to fix. The dealer would use this type of software to basically fix it. If they know what the issue is then they get jump to the software and it tells ya all sorts of stuff. Here is an example if this works. Cause I used to get a check engine light in my '04 for code P0171. I used the software to look up the code and this is what I get.

DTC P0171 FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM FUNCTION

On Board Diagnosis Logic

On Board Diagnosis Logic

With the Air-Fuel Mixture Ratio Self-Learning Control, the actual mixture ratio can be brought closely to the theoretical mixture ratio based on the mixture ratio feedback signal from the heated oxygen sensors 1. The ECM calculates the necessary compensation to correct the offset between the actual and the theoretical ratios.

In case the amount of the compensation value is extremely large (The actual mixture ratio is too lean.), the ECM judges the condition as the fuel injection system malfunction and lights up the MIL (2 trip detection logic).

DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 5 seconds before conducting the next test.

WITH CONSULT-II

Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 5 seconds .
Turn ignition switch ON and select "SELF-LEARNING CONT" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode with CONSULT-II.
Overall Inspection Sequence

Clear the self-learning control coefficient by touching "CLEAR".
Select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.
Start engine again and let it idle for at least 10 minutes . The 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 should be detected at this stage, if a malfunction exists. If so, Go to "Diagnostic Procedure" below.
If it is difficult to start engine at step 6, the fuel injection system has a malfunction, too.
Crank engine while depressing accelerator pedal. If engine starts, Go to "Diagnostic Procedure" below. If engine does not start, check exhaust and intake air leak visually.
WITH GST

Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 5 seconds .

Disconnect mass air flow sensor harness connector. Then restart and run engine for at least 5 seconds at idle speed.
Stop engine and reconnect mass air flow sensor harness connector.
Select MODE 3 with GST. Make sure DTC P0102 is detected.
Select MODE 4 with GST and erase the DTC P0102.
Start engine again and let it idle for at least 10 minutes .
Select MODE 7 with GST. The 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 should be detected at this stage, if a malfunction exists. If so, Go to "Diagnostic Procedure" below.
If it is difficult to start engine at step 7, the fuel injection system has a malfunction.
Crank engine while depressing accelerator pedal. If engine starts, Go to "Diagnostic Procedure" If engine does not start, check exhaust and intake air leak visually.

There are pictures in there as well but didn't want to post them all. Gives you wiring diagrams and pretty much everything you can think of. If you have any type of error code showin on your X now let me know. I'll take the time and post the fix up for ya as an example.

I want to test ya:

My cruise isn't working. I know it's not the brake pedal and not any fuses. No codes, CEL. What does the software tell you?

I edited the above post to add the photos. Short of some numbering that didn't copy thats basically what I would see and what it would tell me to do if I was getting engine code P0171.

So we're going to assume I have some type of knowledge about Nissan's in the technical manor (Which I don't) I'll see what I can find. I'll be honest. A trained mechanic would probably know this software better. However....It can't be that bad. Give me a little to get back to you. Kinda busy at work now.

Alright so doing a quick look. Again this would be assuming I know where a mechanic is going to start his/her troubleshooting.

This is how this shows this to me.

Testing and Inspection ------ Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

Testing and Inspection

It also shows Relays,Switches and so on that are just part replacements. Within that it would show you how to replace it. Only the Cruise Control Servo Cable has an added section where it shows you how to adjust the cable.

Brake Switch (Cruise Control)
Clutch Switch
Cruise Control Module
Cruise Control Relay
Cruise Control Servo
Cruise Control Servo Cable
Cruise Control Switch
Vacuum Pump
Vehicle Speed Sensor/Transducer - Cruise Control

It then goes into Component Tests and General Diagnostics. None of which I can tell ya what the actual issue would be since I can't actively test your X.

So I guess by someone actually submitting a a real problem other than a trouble code. The situation may actually have you run some tests and stuff before you can determine the actual problem.
