I give up...

Went to do a simple little job today, change the fuel filter. Pulled the fuse, relieved the line pressure, pulled the little cover off, all easy-peasy. I then proceeded to pull, yank, twist, curse, cuss, pull, pull some more, yank, pray, curse, yank, twist, pry, twist, curse, walk away, start over, cuss, twist, pry, pry some more, contemplate the nature of a cold and uncaring universe, twist some more and finally give the **** up. I don't believe it is possible to remove the little freaking rubber fuel hose from the filter. Anyone that says otherwise is clearly a liar.

WD-40. Don't use a whole lot, though...you'll dry out the fuel line and wind up replacing it. My Pathfinder had 200k on it when I replaced the fuel filter and had the same problem.

I put it back together (not that it came apart!) for now. Maybe I'll screw with it tomorrow. 140K on the clock and I don't know if the p.o. ever changed it, so it is due.

Just use a little bit of the WD-40 and try to twist/turn then pull the hose off the nipple. PB Blaster will work, too (along with any other liquid-wrench type lubricant). Might even be able to use motor oil, just make sure to clean it up before putting the hose on the new filter.

Doable, and it sucks the first time. Mine was about the same I said that if the 1st made 140K, the next will have to as well

I had the same issue and almost lost my damn mind with it. I went to Harbor Freight and got a tool that's specifically made to pull hoses off. For like $4, it was worth the sanity
