New to me 2011 Xterra Pro-4x. Checked all lights at dealer, then drove home. As it got dark noticed passenger headlight light seemed pointed off to right and low. Next day, before I had a chance to look at it, drove again and as it got dark noticed passenger headlight seemed burnt out. Took a look this morning and found passenger headlight came loose and was hanging by wires near battery in engine compartment. After some fiddling, and learning, and watching a few videos I've concluded the headlight locking rings on both sides are loose. The teeth engage, but don't tighten. The ring can vibrate off freely, allowing the bulb to move around and eventually come free.
I think it's the oem headlight assembly, but don't really know for sure. Not really sure what is happening here.
Do I need to buy new headlights assemblies, or is there a fix for the loose ring? If new assemblies, can I convert to LED and do I need a canbus version.... any links to good products would be great!
