Aside from the obvious, what other things should be on the perspective shoppers list for doing the DT full length headers?

1- Headers (holycrapduh)
2- Gaskets
3- ????

Things like any particular bolts/studs, CEL eliminators, etc?

Every time I've done header swaps on other vehicles, I just end up throwing all of the emissions gear in the garbage. Can't do that on this one...got to keep it legal. Not California legal.....I don't have to pass a smog or even have the proper number of Cat's. However, I need to have at least one cat per bank and zero leaks.

Thanks!

The stud kit that AC sells? They look like short studs.

What about locking nuts? I know in other cars I've had w/ aftermarket headers there has been an issue with the nuts backing out due to expansion/contraction. I run www.stage8.com locking bolts on my Mustang for this problem. I wonder if I can find something similar.

Upon further inspection, Stage8 has a bunch of metric stuff. Does anyone know the thread pitch on the header studs?

You can get them cheaper from most dealers, the part numbers are
stud - 14064-7B000 ~ $2.03
nut - 14094-31U00 ~ $0.85

Nissan exhaust hardware is pretty good, as long as you replace it, the nuts are usually a locking type (like stover nuts) I've never had one back off when i've replaced them (X's headers have been on for like 2 years, my 240sx went through many turbo/manifold combinations as well)

Yeah prime. Best to just get a full set at a dealer. They usually have them in stock.. You can use the same studs and nuts that are on the truck but having a new set is your best bet. Let me know if you need anything. I will make sure and take care of you XN love!.. ;)

Okay, so I've ordered the full set of studs and nuts.

Any particular gaskets work better than others? Or just get over the counter FelPro's?

Also, on Cats.....I need two. There are so many makes/models. Everything from the headers back I think is going to be custom made. Thinking about doing a Borla muffler and having all the tubing just made to fit. (also Rugged Rocks Motor Mounts at the same time) What should I be getting for 2.5" cats? Any particular brand/model work or fit better than another?
