Front Fold-Down Passenger Seat Mod

Just installed this new to my X, and in great condition fold-down front seat pulled from a wreaked Fronty at the the local salvage yard!
(I can't really call it junky-yard anymore)


The seat is a perfect color match but the fabric pattern is the opposite, I totally love it, I always wanted this seat!:smiley: I could have used this seat so, so many times, now it's mine use the hell out of.:Big Grin:

Great idea! I've wanted that seat too and never even thought of that. I know I'd be able to use it camping and changing diapers lol.

Yeah, that's the one thing I miss from my '08. But I made the sacrifice to get the leather. I really liked the fold down option, but I hated the fabric they used for those seats; it wore too quickly. Plus the leather seats turned out to be a lot more comfortable for longer rides, so it's a fair trade off. I'll just have to use the trailer more often when I have to haul longer stuff.

Now can this be done in the first gen series?

Anything can be done with enough time, money, and ingenuity. Is is a direct bolt in? I don't think so. I think the second gen seat slider track is wider than in a first gen. But an adapter bracket shouldn't be too hard to weld up.

Yeah building one for a jk to tj seat on my buddies truck.

Didnt know if the fronty first gen would fit in the x first gen. My seats are blown and if i can geta little more functionallity why not.

Same seats in the Xterra. I can go measure the seat width and track width on my seat if you need it.

Yeah, I owned my X for a year before I figured out how this seat worked. I always knew it would fold down but never knew how...

Really? I had mine folded down using it for a laptop table on my way home from the dealer. It was the reason I bought an SE instead of an S. I am already missing that option, but, I'm thinking a RAM mount for a tablet will make up for it sometime soon.
