VAXC invites you to attend a BBQ picnic at Lake Anna. You are encouraged to bring your family, friends and neighbors to take part in the food, games and prizes. Vendor Member spots are available for anyone that wants to introduce there business or products. There will not be a fee for your participation. We want to meet you and encourage you to participate. Overnight camping is available and subject to campground fees. Those prices and area to be posted at later date. The campground has landings and parking for anyone that wants to bring a watercraft during the event. You can find more information at http://www.christopherruncampground.com/

There will be an excursion set up to visit Rolly's Customs near the event to see what his custom fab shop can offer and allow anyone that wants to run his property.
(Min. 4" Lift is recommended but not required)

To be able to make this event happen a member participation fee will be required. The entry fee is intended for the event catering, event space and music/prizes. We will determine that amount in the coming weeks.

We hope you can make it and strongly encourage you to bring your friends and family out to kick off the summer with the VAXC.

The Smurf will be in attendance. I'll keep an eye out for camping fees.

If any PA or NY people are going let me know. Possible convoy?

Camp Fees. Like, to rent a spot to put up a tent or a trailer Jay.
I think they are pretty minimal if I am correct. But I will find out and post.

Once we know, do we need to call and reserve in advance or just pay when we get there and they just give a spot?

It is mainly just chilling, getting to meet everyone, hanging out, camping, etc.

There will be some wheeling for anyone wanting to bring their crawler. The trail is . . . rough.
I usually dont back down from much. The MX will not be playing on this trail.

For all who plan to participate in lunch, please read below.
Food will be pot luck style, please bring a large dish of your favorite food plus serving utensils to feed the crowd. Comment below with what you plan to bring so we can make sure to have enough space on the table and food for the group.
Hamburgers and buns, plates, napkins, and forks/spoons/knives will be provided by our leadership team.
Looking for gracious volunteers to provide 2 or more grills to cool the food and hot dogs and buns for up to 40.

Also - my bad on the delayed updates. I was working on setting some other stuff up and updating XN slipped past me.

Moving forward more members of the LT are taking things on so I don't forget things. So you might see Meredith (the secretary) post updates here as me on our events.

Just an update from Facebook

"So we have the Leadership Team kicking in to grab burgers and bunsCarrie is bringing Macaroni Salad
Amy is bring sweet and sour meatballs.

Still looking for others to help out. Remember this is a pot luck style cook out. As much as I would love to say we can just feed everyone for free, we are a non-profit group that does not have paid membership. We rely on each other to help out. If you plan on participating in the cook out please be sure to call out what you are bringing to pitch in.
I think it goes with out saying, but don't "be that guy/gal"."

FAN day was a huge success everyone!!

A big thank you to the following people -
Daniel Reeder for setting up the event and getting the venue taken care of
Meredith McLelland for taking charge of organizing the food situation
Carrie Beasley for getting the corn hole tournament together and for all the food
Amy Green for all the food as well. Hopefully you are able to clean up that spill easily
Jack Erdly for the cake, that huge sheet cake just for us!
Joe (isn't on here) for being our grill master of the day. With it being so hot out, a huge thanks goes to him for rocking it out on the grill all day.

And to everyone else who was able to take part and bring food and treats. I can't even express how awesome it was to see all this come together and us all be able to hang out and have fun. We might be a club the focuses on wheeling, but that doesn't mean we can't all be friends off the trails.

Days like today are the things that make me proud to be president.

So thanks again! See you all again soon!
