factory fog light wiring with LED light bars

just as the title says, I want to use my factory fog light wiring to hook up some 6" LED light bars. I have read before that the factory fog light wiring can handle 55w lights, but I'm not great with electrical stuff and I don't know if it matters if the light is an LED vs. halogen. thanks for the help!

Don't know what you found, but 55 watts is 55 watts, wether its led, halogen, or superconductive.

found the answer in jgbimle's LED wiring thread. thanks muadeeb, that's basically what I found. yes roadwarrior, if you could close/delete that'd be great
