Hey guys, seems there is a decent amount of emergency responders here, whatever part of it you may be. I've got a question that hopefully someone can answer, here is my situation:
I'm currently in undergrad at University of Nebraska, my major is biological sciences with the hopes of getting in to Physician Assistant's school after I graduate (two years from May). All of the schools I'm looking at require 500-1000 paid work hours somewhere with direct patient contact- EMT, CNA, phlebotomist, PT tech, etc. My issue is that the only one that really interests me is EMT-B. I know that it can be done, but how hard would it be to pull off working part time as a EMT while in school? (Biological sciences is basically a pre-med major). I don't want to do something half-assed, but don't want my job to hurt my grades in school. Any/all opinions are welcome.
