Calling all Xterra wiring gurus

So I'm getting everything lined up to hook up all my auxiliary lighting and I've been toying with the idea of tying into some factory systems for switch control. My hid spots that are going on the bumper are going to be connected to my factory fog lighting for switch power so I have the ability to spin the ring on the wiper control arm as a quick kill switch for those... and that shouldn't be to hard to wire up.

My roof mounted floods I want to tie into the factory harness somewhere to connect with the time-out accessory power so if I have the truck off and the floods on they will shut off after approx. 20 minutes. (no worries about loosing track of time and having a dead battery)

Last is the rock lights .... I would be ok having those wired the same and timing out with the floods but I would really like them tied into the interior light system so they would light up when I unlock my doors. I found a similar wiring job explained on a Tacoma forum (if i remember correctly) but the wiring is obviously different and I don't know if i would be so lucky to be able to find the right wires in the same places.

So my main question is will I have to cut into the wiring harness to connect to these systems/switches or would I be so lucky as to be able to pull off the interior fuse panel.

This is my winter project as I don't have a garage to work in and its often snowing or too cold to be working on my truck in the driveway.

Do you have any idea what they would be spliced to? I hate to be a party pooper but this sounds like way more trouble than it would have to be. If I'm understanding correctly you're trying to eliminate having a switch completely? That means you'd have to splice into something that has a switch anyways... Unless you want the roof lights to be on the entire time the vehicle is on. Like if you ties into the cabin roof lights for example, you'd have to have those lights on whenever using the roof lights, which would get annoying. Not to mention they automatically turn off every time you lock the vehicle, and would turn back on every time it was unlocked

No im not trying to eliminate having switches but essentially create redundant switches. I have master switches for everything but want to source the power from different areas to send signal to the relays.
the most basic example of this is sourcing power from a hot source vs an acc powered source that would cut power when you pull the key.
on my old mini truck i originally had the compressor powered by acc power and switched that to hot power so i could flick the switch on and it would still run as i walked away and the pressure cutoff would turn it off.

think of leaving your defrost turned on and when you hit the remote switch it fires up when power gets there but only if both conditions are positive (ignition and physical control switch)
