Anybody know what this noise is?

Hello everyone my x has developed a tick or maybe even a light knock I'm not sure what it is or were its coming from. I have read that it could be the lifters but I don't think it's the lifters because it doesn't just do it a start up it does it the whole time the engine is running.

I read somewhere else that it might be the oil pump going bad because once it starts to go. Ad it doesn't have enough pressure to get oil to the top of the engine which might be where my noise is coming from.

If you guys think the oil pump will help which it probably wouldn't hurt to change it anyways do you have any tips on how to do it? From the looks of it, it looks like the timing belt has to be removed. Is this correct?

Sounds to me like it's time to change the timing belt

I was thinking a cracked exhaust manifold but it's hard to tell for sure

Timing belt is only 12,000 miles old, and the passenger side exhaust manifold was replaced about a year ago havent done the drivers side yet holding out for a set of headers, it doesn't appear the be cracked and if you listen in the drivers side wheel well it doesn't sound like it's coming from the manifold it sounds like it's coming from above or behind it

Y pipe maybe? The flex connectors are known to break

Maudeeb, just checked the y-pipe while it is in need of some attention I put my ear up to it and it wasn't the source if the sound it's defiantly coming from somewhere either in or around the engine. Thanks for the suggestion though
