Add a leaf question

So I've been running the rear adjustable shackle from AC for about a year now and it's starting to sag like I knew it would. I still have all stock leaf springs btw. I was wondering if anyone has removed the overload leaf and put the 1 leaf AAL in it's place? If so, how much lift did it give? My ultimate goal would be to remove the overload and stick the AAL in it's place. With the shackle I really only need .5-1" of rear lift. Right now I have absolutely no rake at all front to rear.

Honestly, I would wait and upgrade the rear leafs if possible. Of course, that depends on the overall goals for your truck, but if you want to wheel it or add some aftermarket goodies, I'd be looking into replacements.

Yeah I agree just as a stand alone lift it's terrible. But I figured since I already have the 2" shackles in the rear and the full 3" lift in the front, it's time to get the rear end up a bit. I can get it to flex pretty damn good currently with the shackles alone so I figured it wouldn't hurt it too much to get rid of that overload leaf and put just an AAL in it's place.

Current flex:

The Overload leaf does not affect flex other that from keeping the rest of the leaves inverting. The single leaf AAL will cause you to have less flex than you currently have. I know someone running a single leaf AAL.

I have run AAL for years with no issues, the one from Nisstec works great... You can also get the 2 leaf pack from PRG... I am actually running both packs... The Nisstec will give you 1"... PRG approximately 2"
