32x11.50 on 15x7 rim?

When I was trying to order KM2s in 32x11.50 to put on my 15x7 rims the shop said that is too narrow and they didn't want to install them, and if they did i'd have no type of warranty at all. Searched online and it seems like a pretty popular question that's been asked, some say its fine others say it will wear bad etc. My order is on hold right now.. I really would rather not get 31x10.50 again & I don't want to ditch the desert runners, especially since I have 5 of them.

Anyone have first hand experience running that size? how was the tread wear? any other reasons not to do it?

They are full of it....I'm running the same wheels and that exact tire..32x11.5x15 KM2.

They wear just fine, nice and even. I rotate and balance every other oil change, and sometimes more often than that, depending on how much I travel.

TJTJ runs a 13.5 on the 15x7, you will not have an issue running those. It is because BFG suggests it be put on a 15x8 wheel.

Yeah they'll be fine. Just make sure you get the right tire PSI in there. It may take a little experimenting. I've heard something about chalking the treads and inflating/deflation until the chalk comes off evenly. You should be good to go! :)

Ran them about 15 years 3 full sets of tires. 32x11.50x15 on 15x7 stock wheels and desert runners. No issues at all. However, I recently upsized to 33x10.50x15 and like their characteristics much better. Far better in snow an overall seem to roll with less drag they don't rub as much either.

33x10.50 would be nice, but I think id run into issues with only having a PML

Actually, with the backspacing and overall narrowness that the tires will maintain on a skinny wheel, I would be willing to say they fit with minor plastic trimming. I'd be interested in seeing if/what you have to trim. The uptravel turn is where you are going to bind.

It really boils down to what the shop considers safe, or what kind of restrictions they might have set in place in order to avoid lawsuits. If they throw the tire on there and it pops a bead a mile up the road and you total your truck you could try and sue them and claim they shouldnt have mounted the tire if it wasnt safe. Bigger chains will be more likely to refuse than smaller local stores. When I had my 33x1250 spare mounted on my factory spare wheel (15x7) discount tire didnt really like the idea and refused at first. I explained it was just a spare tire and after talking to the manager he finally agreed.

Ended up going to a different shop, ordered the 32x11.50's
They said that size is fine and they have some type of warranty or whatever so it worked out good. Might have the tires tomorrow

Nice you'll love that size. Its perfect for a non bl truck. You'll have to trim the front plastic and the tire may scuff the frame rails at full compression in the back. But, otherwise it fits the front arches perfectly. When my torsion bar broke off I was able to drive home on the bumpstops no issue. Its a good practical size. My 33's could probably use a regear. But, with the 32's it was close enough to still have fun with. Pulled a nice overdrive on the highway.

I had all 4 tires 33x12.50's on the factory 15x7 Wheels. Never had a problem with them. One tire even had a chunk of rubber torn off right where the bead seals(That tire actually held air the best, go figure). Now I have 33x12.50's on 15x10 wheels with -38mm offset. Love the way it rides. I had to cut some metal but they turn fine. I still rub a tiny bit if I full lock the wheel but I really try and avoid doing that, just a personal deal..
