My journey with Kristine (I know not very original but just wait and you’ll see...) began in April 2006. Since then we’ve traveled more than 124,000 miles together and we've visited at least 16 states to date. I know that’s not a lot but until 2009 we were living large in Hawaii and well since Xterra’s don’t fly...!
Thus far Kristine is still stock, and has spent the vast majority of her time on the road, but we have taken the occasional off road jaunt from time to time (the first of which was to Keana Point wildlife refuge on O’ahau’s north western shore). Though most of our adventures were on improved surfaces she’s trekked like a champ through all sorts of weather, including a blizzard, and has never failed. She’s a wonder to drive and first class road trip companion.
My Xterra was dubbed Kristine by a former girlfriend who was visiting me in HI. Seems my darling Bronze Xterra has a jealous side and often times when I’m out on a date she finds some way to make her feelings known to my companion. It seems anything can happen from a light inexplicably coming on, to a battery cable coming lose or a door locking at an inopportune time... Funny she very rarely or ever acts that way when I’m alone with her or guys are around. Hence Kristine
