i think it really depends on where you do xfit, it seems like a lot of places that xfit isn't huge this is happening. around here xfit gyms are basically like families, we have dinners, competitions, fund raisers etc. and no you can't do xfit until your trained correctly which gets rid of those people that flail all over there selves like monkeys with weights in there hands. i agree they willl absolutely hurt themselves.

incorrect, if your doing the exercise correct you can do both, rich froning best xfitter in the world 2 years running, this man can work out like a kenyan running a marathon and have the best quality out there in every exercise, if you are doing the skill correctly your workouts will exceed from that, not mentioning if you don't do it right ti doesn't count for a rep. Until you have gone threw a full ONRAMP course or a level 1 i'd highly recommend knocking on it
