The only things I have to do are: Dif breather lines, front bumper, complete back bed, bolt on tail gate, hookup tail lights, install front shocks, bolt on top roof racks(stock ones, with minor mods), rock sliders and wheel alignment. Front driveshaft will not go on until I drive it in 4wd and see if the transfer case is shot. Suspect that it might be shot, don't know right now. That's what took the truck off the road last fall. I am hoping it was the stock outer hubs.
Good chance there...stock outer hubs love to fail...

Looks good man! I am also a little curious about the different lug patterns. Is it just temporary or are you going to leave it?
Its temporary for now. Once I go to a d44 in the future then I will go to a 6 bolt. For now I am going to use a 5-6 bolt adapter when I have a flat. The spare is a 6 bolt. I decided to use the stock back axle which was a good decision but it left me with an odd bolt pattern from and back.

Today I finally got the jeep stinger bumper put on. Looks very good. Pics to come.

Finally got the stinger bumper I bought from Summit racing on this weekend. I managed to make a heavy bracket so it mounts directly to the bumper. Did not have to cut or modify the bumper in anyway. Used 1/2" plate steel with 5/8" grade 8 bolts. Nice and strong. Winch will come next year.

Finally got the lower shock mounts installed in the front, threw the fox shocks in, got the rear hi-lift jack, rear tail box all lined with treated wood. Just need to complete finish the rear tail gate. Right now the transfer case cross member is out and is being modified to fit the extended front drive shaft. just need to add a muffler and its ready to go.

Got the rear tail lights working last night. I used the jeep TJ housing and they use two bulbs, one uses 2 elements, its a 1157 bulb. I had to add an extra bulb for the fourth signal that Nissan uses. Clearance, turn, brake and backup. Jeep uses a switch in the truck to switch one of the functions on and off. Got it working so that was another big task complete.

Or you could have used a trailer light convertor. Or the one already on the xterra.

Thanks. Its been a long road trying to get it done. Actually 8 months or more. I have a few small things to go before I get it on the road. Things like re-adjust the rear pinion angle, slight mod on the upper track bar mount(been a major pain in the ass), add muffler and then it should be ready. The back chop and forming it all in turned out better than I thought. I actually surprised myself. I would NEVER chop off the back again, toooo much work but it looks "one of a kind"

I went and had a look in person today, pretty awesome machine. Can't wait to see it in the woods having some fun. I'm very seriously considering borrowing the front bumper set up for mine it looked great. Lots of hard work in this machine.

How did it do on the trails?
It will get to the trails hopefully tomorrow. Right now I am still having bad vibrations in the rear or front drive shaft. At 5 mph it vibrates badly and they goes away slightly as I speed up. According to the drive line shop everything should be OK. All angles are ok. I will take out the front drive shaft to see if that fixes it.

So far in town the ride, steering and suspension has been great. I have to get used to driving a solid axle in the front. Feels different than stock. It's smoother and feels like I am floating.

Sucks to hear about the vibration. Do you think the X feels like driving a big.. lets say F250? (older model)? I feel like I hear people who have run solid axles with leafs that it rides like a truck (bigger, older) and didn't know if you agreed

So finally got the upgraded front driveshaft on with double cardon, went to a local area they call "The Pit" which is a huge area with piles of dirt you can climb on, go in the trees and play etc... Great for a local place to flex out the truck and get some money shots! Everything went very well. I was with 7 other jeep guys and they were very impressed and approved everything. I actually surprised myself that everything flexed perfectly. The only thing I need to get is limit straps so that axle does not come off the upper spring perches. The front has huge flex, way better than independent suspension. We went through some areas where the stock truck would have just spun but with a sas it just crawls through with ease.
