Xterra Gen 2 Recovery Points????

RevX36

So on my last off road adventure I was in need of a recovery. Nothing crazy but to my bewilderment. My Xterra doesn't have a single factory recovery point on it anywhere I can see. is this normal or standard? Is there an aftermarket solution available? i have a new trip coming up this weekend and would like to have something by then. Really would appreciate any input on the subject. Happy Monday Y'all.

You should have a front tow hook. It's not the best, but it'll do.

If you don't want to do aftermarket bumpers, your options are limited.
There's these for the front.
These for the back.

I would have at least one hook for a quick recovery and it's easier for tow trucks. I have shackles on my Hefty and two factory hooks in OEM location. I had to buy longer bolts for the OEM hooks to work with the Hefty.

My recovery points from Dezertrunneroffroad.com have been the beefiest / best I have ever seen. $ 125.00 for the pair, and bolted right up in 5 minutes. I could not wait to have been done w/ the anemic tow hook claw thing that Nissan had put on there at the factory.
