We had our first snow of the season this morning so I took this with my Droid X as I was heading out to work.

ALMOST nailed it. I had this borrowed 100mm macro lens all up in this bug's business on a full frame body. I am going to have to invest the $1500 and get the Canon 180mm L macro and try shooting it on a crop sensor.
These lenses are fun to toy with, but hard to pull off an amazing shot when things are moving. The depth of field is crazy! I shot this at f/32 with flash.

I powered on my old iPhone (don't hate) tonight and found this picture I took in seaside florida over spring break. Not the best because it was with a iPhone but the sky is really cool!

Some VERY scary sh!t going on in my back yard over the last 15 hours! Not sure how many of you are following the Waldo Canyon Fire on the news, but I can tell you first hand that it's very bad here.

Best of luck with the fire!

There's not gonna be anything left out west when it actually becomes "fire season" the way we're going already.

When is damn wind going to quit ??

My parents took a trip to Alaska and shot a bunch of photos. Looking through them I saw a panorama opportunity so I created this. I wish they had a 5D Mark II/III, but I'll still take it! Here is the result:

We went to the zoo this weekend and I got a few pictures worth sharing. This is my personal favorite from the day.

This girl was injured by someone before her time at the zoo and she was rescued.

My personal favorite animals from the day were the tigers.

I figured out what I was doing wrong with the camera after I'd already taken the pictures and went home. Next time I know what I need to do.

We caught the wolves at feeding time.

The animals were all very active Saturday with the temperatures in the 50s and a light breeze.

We also caught the black bears play fighting.

The victor posing.
