Wiring KC lights to High Beams

Right now I have my KC Slimlites (driving pattern) all wired up and working and they turn on and off with the switch. I want to have them turn on with high beams but it says to contact the dealer for any vehicle past 2000. Anyone done this and had it work?

I wired my Hella's to the low beams.. i just tapped into the low-beam headlight power wire. From what I've heard, wiring them to the the high beams is illegal (referring to passing inspection btw) as they're supposed to turn off when the high beams are on.

Easiest would be to parallel the relay for your KCs off of the high beam wire under the hood. For a 1st gen, it's the Red/White wire going to the bulb.

I wired two 55W KC floods for my reverse lights. They run off a switch and off of the reverse lights. Look for a relay that has two inputs, wire one to your high beams and the other to the switch. This type or relay came with the wiring kit for my reverse lights. Good luck.
