Windshield washer fluid level sensor

A little while back, the dash light for an empty windshield washer reservoir came permanently on. Thought the sensor might be gummed up and as described elsewhere on the web, I emptied it and then added a mixture of white cleaning vinegar (7%) and tap water. That did not work even after soaking for a few days. My question, what next?

Should I dismantle the reservoir so I can manually clean the sensor or simply replace the entire reservoir, pump and sensor?

I looked for a standalone sensor online and could not find one. Only kits consisting of the reservoir, pump and sensor appear to be available.

Few random Thoughts.

No leaks? for it showing empty.
Does the Rear Washer work?
Does the Pump run? IF not.. Hunt down the Fuse either inside cab, or under hood.

Could the nozzles be plugged up? Washer fluid tends to thicken if not used. Least that is what happened to Folks Mini Van, and Grease monkey said just need to be flushed.. and to cycle it often..

I am leaning towards Popped fuse.. least hope that is it.

No leaks. Or the leak, if any, is not noticeable.

Washers work well front and back. Nozzles are cleaner now that I have run cleaning vinegar and water through the system.

Where would the "Popped fuse" be located?

From memory, the windshield washer pumps, sensor and wipers share the same fuse. I just confirmed that in ChatGPT.

I may want to dismantle in order to check if the float is stuck.

Could not fix the sensor. Ultimately replaced the entire unit with an aftermarket unit ordered from ebay. Tedious as always but relatively easy to install. Works like a charm.
