If it's still just as wet up there as it normally is this time of year be extremely careful. A couple people in our groups almost wrote checks that they couldn't cash on some of the moderate trails because of all the mud. I would recommend going north side if anyone in the group is lacking body armor. When it's wet, the moderates at the southwest side of the park become difficult just due to the damage they can cause. The north end has much less clay and is much less rutted out. Luckily, good spotting got them through the trip, but there were a few places where I was nervous for them.

I'll just say this.... I. Hate. Mud. I spent about 2 hours today underneath my truck spraying it off and assessing damage. Going up trail 22 might not have been the best idea... but it sure was fun! Bent skids, bent crossmember, bent shock mounts, and my muffler looks worse than it already did, which I didn't know was possible. All worth it. Had a blast. Met some new faces, and found out how well the truck performs in some serious muddy $h*t!
