What's this hose? Pic attached.

This is in reference to my 2004 supercharged Xterra. Can anyone offer some info on what this vacuum hose goes to inside the engine bay. It connects at the drivers side firewall, but as you can see it has been cut.

No codes. I found where its cut counterpart running along the drivers side fender which eventually disappears near the drivers side radiator core support. I'm still not sure what the hose does, but I plan to connect the two cut ends later today.
