But I doubt I’ll get around to finishing it at this point and I hate bodywork so I just dropped the price another 500$ and will let the next owner deal with it

Be advised OCD'ness next......

So I had to remove right front wheel to repair something simple. This turned into cleaning that wheel well. Which led to cleaning the other wheel wells. Which led to overall good cleaning now that the weather is nice here.
Just a reminder my rig is 2 wheel drive pavement pounder hound hauler. 20200408_151027.jpg 20200408_150935.jpg 20200408_152039.jpg

Gotta finish buttoning things up tomorrow. Got the new shaft in and new brake shoes on after this pic. 0.8 hours my a$$ NTB10-008. Though maybe with a lift and airtools that would be more appropriate.

Are you happy with the Gorilla cover? I was looking at that compared to the ARB. I like how the ARB has the easy fill and check features, but for the price, the OR Gorilla is worth considering.

It’s pretty stout and I’m digging it so far - though it’s going to be a while before it gets put to any kind of test, or even sees extended driving time.

Installed a new stereo and been finishing up the locker wiring. Can't find 8awg 3/8 ring terminals locally so I had to order them. Hoping to get the locker wiring run to the rear axle tomorrow and hooked up so all I have to do is make my connection to the battery.

Bit the bullet, soon to be fully locked with 4.10’s. I’ll be getting an ARB for the M205 and then start collecting parts for the Titan swap.

Make sure you have that stuff looked over good. Old DM doesn't have the greatest rep. He sold Miguel a Frontier M226 for his Xterra and a used M205 for more than you can order a new one for through Courtesy Nissan.

With that said, I don't think that's a bad price for what's there. Just be sure it's in as good a shape as he says before putting it on.

Lysol sprayed filters sure stink next morning. Fan on level 4 no vibrations or thumps. No mouse fell into gerbil wheel fan housing. Like in the past. Guts an gooo. From high G force.

Least it’s cov19 safe for xterra mask. Not sure what level it’s rated N100, N95?. I do keep social distance from other vehicles :). and I mandatory record them for the new pc correct herd tracking. Haha.

So I am finished with my pavement pounder. Re-painted rear hatch, add hitch, re-route exhaust through bumper, powder coated rear bumper, roof rails and x bars. New Yokohamas also. Clay barred, used turtle wax blue for color enhancement, ceramic sprayed.

Then to top off subdued US flag.
Happy memorial day to all and most important thanks Veterans.

Spent the weekend installing new headache medicine. Just wanted to change brand and go prescription meds. Old RF meds are still fine so may be selling them. Just wanted to hear Satriani’s “Flying In A Blue Dream” in proper glory. Next is research on replacement heart meds under the driver seat. Don’t want a pill box in the back. Too much other stuff back there.

I finally got around to installing that yaesu I picked up last year. Wife came out to see what I was up to pulling out plastic to run the antenna cable... she offered to help clean up the dirt and dog hair so I gutted it. Nice and clean by lunch time, and all back together now. :)

Those are neat radios! I run APRS a lot. It has some interesting functionality that most folks don't even know about!

But the person you text has to be a ham to reply. I've sent some one ways to my wife while traveling so she knows I'm ok when remote. Been on her about her tech so we can talk and because of the distance of her drive in case there's an emergency.

I hadn't heard about those yet, thanks for the links!

Out on a drive yesterday (along a 15 mile stretch with no cell towers) my wife asked what she would have to do to use it or get her own radio. I didn't expect that. Gave up trying to get her interested in radio years ago.
