Dropped it off at the dealer night to tighten the belts and have the ABS light finally checked out (been waiting to do since I got it). "Need" to replace a G-Sensor, so we'll see if the $500 fo towards that or skids. Been driving without it since I got it...

^Looking sweet!

As for myself, look what came in the mail yesterday about a week after ordering! Those are the new, lower price point shims available for order. They're aluminum with the hole machined out and beveled and they come with new center pins. He was saying that these won't have that crack that can happen with the steel ones, plus they're cheaper! Added bonus!

Just bought the Complete OME Suspension from Nisstec.

Yeap I'm saving up for my bumper now. Trying to order the expensive things first so once I'm out the Army I can still work on the X even with the limited funds.

Good thinking!

Well today I got a couple of red V-LEDs in to replace my cheap blue LEDs in my dome lights and improve night vision.

I never tightened my cb antenna mount when I mounted it so my antenna sorta tilts loosely, I'm getting off here to go to a buddies house and fix it. I hate not having tools of my own :(

Hmm good idea, and we got the mount off tighten the bolts and the antenna is secure now all I have to do is put my swr meter to use. We also looked at running my lights.

Today I spent lots of money I do not have on the X.

Ordered it new brakes and rotors (dimpled/slotted kind with lifetime warranty).
Paid for my new custom rad skid. Local shop made it for me. I looked at it mounted on the X and am happy. No pics yet.
Finally ordered the rest of my crap for my CB- the Firestik II tune-able tip antenna (in lime green!) and the coax cable.

Woooo! I really need to stop spending money....

Just dropped about $700 on replacing the radiator, drive belt, and transmission service. This Xterra better last for a while after all this work. At least on the plus side, I no LONGER have to worry about the transmission being ruined. :) There is always a plus side to everything.

did you do the ones that're GB over on TNX? if so, let me know what you think of them, I'm realy leery of a no-name company when it comes to brakes.

Ha, right?

Yes, it was the GB. That's one of the reasons I went with the lifetime warranty. My X's brakes are in dire need of replacements anyway, so it came at the right time.

And yes, I do have a modding problem. First step is admitting I have a problem...now I just need an intervention.

Today I installed a LED light strip from V-LEDS to light up the glove box. Red to match the V-LEDS dome lights.

Did ATF drain/fill #4. Starting to look like a tree trunk now. I probably should drop the pan and clean off the magnet too.

Let's see. Went to replace my rear output shaft seal... Had the wrong seal had to order the right one. Which means my drive shaft is sitting in the basement. Replaced my starter and wired up my pink leds under my dash.

Hooked up my Hella's! Better pics to come another day.

Upgrade the lighting in those 700's to some DDM Tuning 55w HID kits!
I first changed out the bulbs to 100w halogens (better) but the 55w kits were 2 to 3 times as bright! Less current draw too! Will be changing out my top lights to 35w kits with the new roof rack in a bit.

Had a few minutes this afternoon to do a little work on the X.
Had some new LED backup lamps for a long time, 30 smd lamps that I put in. See how they do in the morning. Need to update as my next rear bumper will have two LED backup lights in it (like the two I'm building now for a couple of the UXOC guys) and they ought to match.

CB not working worth a damn since the last UXOC run. Figured the coax to be the problem, probably broken at the tire swingarm. Ended up being the 4' firestick antenna, apparently broken conductor at the base or nearby, as no continuity thru it. Changed out with another and working again (as I'll need for the UXOC Pony Express run on the 18th).
Checked oil, air filter, etc. Really noticing since I changed to mobil 1 about 2 yrs ago, the oil just keeeps looking like new!
