I bet you are loving the new ride! Just looking at the last picture makes my spine hurt, that HAS to be right on the bump stop.

Finally installed my battery tie down that I got from eternal_SiR. Coated it with self-etching primer and a few coats of Duplicolor bed liner that I had leftover from coating my cargo loops.

Oh the stock bumpstops where about HALF the size they normally are due to them being so smashed down. Yes it was completely riding on them. I got used to it. The way I had it with the picture of the red bumpstops was almost back to stock height...felt like I was driving one of those cars with tiny tires up front and huge ones in the back so raising it more was a must. I'm still getting used to this lower ride buts it's a hell of alot better and I bet my mpg increase a hair

Sold my '66 Beetle yesterday. That allowed me to bring the '02 back into the fold as my DD. I put in a battery, installed a set of siped BFG A/T's (stock size for now), some wiper blades and drove it for the first time in about 6 months. I forgot how much I enjoyed driving the 1st Gen! I'm used to driving either my wife's '11 X or the Beetle.

Got rearended in my DD 07 S60R Saturday so the X is now the DD. Today I did a cat-back so I didn't have to hear the holes in the muffler. Sounded like shiet

Just sent my Dad the money to get the radiator replaced, before my tranny becomes a milkshake. Dad didn't feel comfortable doing the bypass mod and he has 6 more months of driving it so ehhh. New radiator No milkshake!

I was thinking about just replacing the radiator too but idk just yet. Still doing some research to figure out if this will for sure prevent it from happening.

yeah, this is true. I will more than likely do this soon too. $400 to replace the radiator VS $4,800 for a transmission replacement.. I think I will choose the cheaper option. haha

New factory rad of one of the new Griffin aluminum radiators? There's a group buy going on for those right now.

Yeah mine is gonna be about $350 bought and installed.

Why not just do the bypass? If you don't live in an extremely hot climate or wheel extensively why wouldn't it suffice? And you'd save a lot of money.

Its getting close to the average mileage for when it goes milkshake. I'm not there to do it, won't be anytime soon, and my Dad doesn't wanna start messing around with stuff and mess something up. He is one of those people that can work on a vehicle but isn't comfortable doing things that make changes to the way the system works like that would.

Its a new one from Advance Auto. Yeah I saw the group buy on tnx and posted it over here and on cx for them cause they were trying to get more people. I was considering it but I decided to just go with a normal one for now. Maybe later on down the road once I have less on the list that I want to do to the X or if I start having heating issues while offroading then I'll pick one up.

I think I would just spend the money and time once, rather than plan for the fact that the replacement might fail too.

Yeah but if the new one can go anywhere close to 95,000 like the factory one then thats way down the road time wise

Stickers = HP, it just makes sense. Nice, Dave.

I'm relaxing after spending all day on my bodylift. Its finished, with the help of my friend Redd. Relocated the rear bumper with ease, still have to remount the front bumper though.

Sent from my Galaxy S Showcase

Thanks Mel. BTW, Love the Initial D avatar pic. :)

OMG you know Initial D?! I freakin' love that show!

Ummm, mods today? Not much. Painted part of my new bumper on Weds. Still need to finish it. Also moved license plate and painted shackles and added CB mount.

Also got stood up on a date. Luckily I have my X who will never do such a thing to me. Instead, I went wheeling and had fun rather than mope.

NGK for both. Plugs p/n 7090, wireset 52020. Got the wireset off Amazon for ~$50 and the plugs are $3 each. The factory recommended ones were the step up from these, but I couldn't see spending ~$90 for wires and $6 ea for plugs.

NGK came factory, so I like to keep it that way.

Nice. Thanks for throwing the P/N's in there, too. I ran NGK Iridium's in my last Nissan ('01 Sentra 2.0) and they were pricey...but it ran noticeably smoother with new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Definitely on the list for the X.

I'm trying to squeeze as much fuel mileage out of it as I can, with this commute coming up. I would LOVE a CAI, but I'm still undecided on whether I want to spend the money on the Nismo CAI, or do aftermarket.

ATF drain #3. Will this ever end? Also 'upgraded' to Valvoline Full Synth. Going to send the drained oil off for testing to check engine wear.

Lars night:

ATF drain fill #1 with mobile 1. She surprisingly came out ok!

Front and rear drain fill with full synthetic. Tiny bit of shavings but what do you expect from
A 10 year old truck!?

Next weekend, brakes sway bar busing upgrade, transfer case synthetics.

When I did my rear diff, it mostly came out looking new, and that was with 193K on it. I guess it was cuz I don't wheel...

My rear diff has a big white mark across it, like with a sharpie or something. I have no idea if its been worked on or why thats there? I also think there may be a letter...? Same color mark as the letters "A" and "B" written on my from blinker lenses...?
