Replaced all the interior dome lamp bulbs in MississippiGal's X with LEDs. What a difference! Nice to have the yellow gone. Now I gotta order more for the Fronty.

that switch would of come in handy a moment ago. Long story short
I pulled out of a parking lot onto a road, farthest car back was about 150 yards away, speed limit is 35mph. Guy already has a busted headlight, he floors it and probably gets up to around 65 mph then slams on his brakes and i hear him skid, flashes his high beams several times at me, he is trying to act like I pulled out in front of him haha not even close buddy. Im following behind a f350 going the speed limit and I can't even see the guys head lights because he is so close to me...i don't brake check him just flip him the bird once out the window :) He follows me around town for 10 minutes! I take him on a adventure through the kroger parking lot and kmart lot :) all the while still honking that horn :) He finally gets tired and leaves lol...it was lmao!
People and there road rage...

As for what I did to the X today..? I drove it :) And also found my radiator isn't leaking anymore! YAY!

I actually did pull out in front of a guy on a motorcycle in a wal-mart parking lot by accident. He turned into the parking lot hauling butt and it just happened. I was leaving wal-mart and headed to my house to go hop in with a buddy to go see a movie an hour away. The guy I was riding with was following me from wal-mart and he's like 6'7" 275lbs so I wasn't too worried about this guy sticking around for long once we got there. I just played it cool and tried to wave sorry but I drove like 30 in a 40 for about a mile while he stayed so close behind me I could have farted and would have smelled it. He eventually got bored with me and passed me, without even flipping me off.

Had a low vibration from 45-55 so I figure that it was about time to take a look at the u-joints, and go figure I need new ones. Picked up a new one, because I already had one at home and plan to swap them after work. Fast forward 9 hours with the truck sticking out of the garage (Does not fit all of the way in), December in Ohio working outside the weather is a crap shoot, but it turned out to be a dry and kind of warm so that was not to bad.

Get the new joints in, and re-install the driveshaft, and go to grease the joints, and lo and behold I put the u-joints in backwards so that the zerk in the rear joint is facing back so I have to drop the shaft 1/2 way out to grease it.

So what you want to take away from my day in the garage, PAY ATTENTION to the direction of the zerks when you put in new joints.

Some day when I feel really motivated, or if I have nothing else to do i'll pull it out and re-do it. But tonight I am way to tired to think about that, so backward it will stay for the time being.

That and I feel like a moron for doing it in the first place.

Went wheeling today. Bashed in a corner of my hitch. Ooops. Better start thinking of fabbing up that rear bumper idea sooner rather than later. Love me some Xmas eve solo wheeling. :-D

I just bought...

NGK Wire Set
Bluetooth OBDII reader
Metra Amp Integration Harness (Props to J Everett)

Tomorrow, I get the left front tire plugged and the screw removed from it. I'm also hitting up OReilly's for NGK plugs and a K&N...

Gotta get my truck ready to start commuting twice a week to school, which just happens to be a 40mi drive one-way. Ugh.

Oh, man, that sucks. i hop it's just the gasket and not a messed up head like Johann had when I went to help him change the gasket.

Johann and I can tell you first hand that the VG33 is a royal PITA to pull the head from. If you can afford to have a mechanic do it, especially one who guarantees his/her work, I'd say this is one job you don't want to do yourself.

Spent 8 hours on it today, mostly detailing the interior. Also did my 2nd drain/fill on the tranny, still looks like motor oil so many more to go. Finally removed the shock-killer from the back.

ToDo: Diff drain/fill (can't get plugs out), oil change, headlight restorer.

Finally got the diff done. PB'd it every hour yesterday while detailing and borrowed the neighbor's 1/2 drive socket and used a 1 1/2" boxed wrench as a cheater. Also cleaned the headlights.

Got my X back from fab shop. Not totally done with rear bumper, but I needed truck to get home. Will drop it off tomorrow for finishing touches. But at least tire carrier is on and tire mounted, wooo! Fingers crossed no LEs decide to pull me over for not having a rear plate, haha.

Spent from 1:30 to 8:00 fixing my tbars... Let me say a few things..
Installing low profile bump stops is a HUGE pain in the @$$
Lifting each side of your X with a stock jack multiple times is a p.i.t.a
Finally having working shocks in the front...AMAZINGGGGGGGG!!!!
:)

Pics come tomorrow in the day light

I finished putting a new rack in the back of the X. I have been wanting to do this for a while, mainly to regain lost space in the back (this is why I did not opt for a more traditional lobo rack). It is all just things I found at Lowes. Its very solid and does not vibrate or rattle at all, even with the system cranked up (can't say the same for some of the paneling). I am waiting until Spring to pull it back out and paint it all black. Tested it out last night, put about 150lbs on it, no issues.

Re adjusted my Tbars again... They where fine last yesterday but it felt really low and I had a little room to come up... I cranked the bolt about 5 times on each side.

Yesterday...
100_0051.jpg

With this much gap...
100_0052.jpg

After I cranked them...I can get my pinky completely through the drivers side and its a really tight fit on the passengers side...I may bring it down some more later..
Current.
