I gotta wait about 50 million years til plate tectonics gets my house far enough north to see the show. Be interesting to see if IPAs are still as popular by then ;)
Nah.. Earth will flip, and your location will be more north.. OR more south.. depends on the Flip. ;-)

Darn Plates sure are slow!. It's humans fault for preventing them from shifting.

Why fifty feet of coax? To run your antenna up a hill?

Technically? I bought it today as the dealership lowballed the offer on trade. I know my signature shows it in my stable but up until today it was my son in law's and daughter's and now it's mine.

We upgraded from our 29 year old pop up camper to a real camper. 2025 Keystone Coleman. :D
Would love to go boondocking if it wasn't 10 degrees outside.

BTW I forgot to add that to get to this point I had to upgrade the tow electrics from 4 pin to 7 blade. Was a bit of a little project in teh cold. Now I have the ability to tow anything with trailer brakes.

Tried to repair my optima yellow top with one of those fancy new battery chargers that claim they can do everything. Seems like it is holding a charge a bit better but likely going to have to drop some cash on a new battery. What is everyone going with for deep cycle batteries these days?

I don't have a fancy battery. I'm been using the Walmart ones. Only because the 5 year warranty is really nice. The weather here is tough on batteries so it's an extra level of chuck you farley just in case.

what is a good key hole spray? Using dam Remote for unlocking and locking. Inserting Key, it does not move left or right. Gummed up from grit? I assume.. Rear hatch.. not a change.. Drivers door can pull handle then Release and will rotate..

Thought of spraying it with Either.. then silicone.. But my luck would create a Vapor BOOM BOOM inside door cavity..

Graphite Key lube? and just Spray?.

If it's gummed up, you need to break down the grease so use something like brake klean then use a lithium grease on it afterwards.

When my ignition seized up the graphite sprays didn‘t do shiat. White lithium grease cleared it right up though.

When I bought my new camper, Camping World sold me the Curt Echo brake controller, which works by bluetooth. Seemed like a great solution. Only thing was that the app you have to use with your phone is a total POS. I had nothing but problems with it. I ended up returning it and getting my money back, which was considerable. Any hardware that has to rely on an app is only as good as the app that controls it.

I bought a $60 Reese Towpower brake controller from Amazon along with the Nissan specific wire adapter, which is plug and play with a connector under the dash. It took 15 minutes to install permanently and it works great. It's always there and needs no phone or signal to work. Most of the places we go camping cell signals can be spotty at best.

Got the AC purged and refilled to get the system running and ready for summer. Needs to get the clean bill of health for inspection then get it registered and ownership officially transferred.

Borrowed a set of gauges from work. no High side pressure on the AC so I have either a leak in a line or a bad compressor. I really don't want to parts cannon this.

Not so much what have I done, but what @MaxGear did for me.....

Installed these:

Made new rear lower shock mounts to accommodate the above.
Rebuilt the MaxGear rear bumper (cause 12years old and needed a refresh).
Re powder coated the hood louvre.
Re powder coated the roof light brackets.
re did all the roof rack lighting, sides, rear, and dust lights
General under body clean up and re paint.

Those shocks.... are the shiat.

Edit: At some point I'll take photo's and post up in my build thread.

Checked the pressures on the AC and they were completely flat. I checked the discharge line and no leaks detected outside of possibly the o-ring seal where it connects to the condenser. I was able to replace that one. Both shrader valves are good and I can't see a leak anywhere. This doesn't bode well as it'll either be a compressor or a problem with the evaporator. Both will suck to replace.

Had to order new bushings for my James Duff radius arms. None of the local shops could find the correct bushings. So had to order Direct from them in Knoxville. More in shipping and duties than parts

Well, got as new AC Manifold gauge set as my old one crapped the bed. Now to see if I can pull a vacuum and have it hold.

Update: Well, I was able to pull 22" of vacuum. Now we wait.

The update: Pulled a vacuum overnight and checked the leakdown this morning. within a minute of sealing off the system, it was flat again. Looks like it's new compressor time. I changed out the shrader valves for S&Gs and retested. Same results.

Hopefully got it back together last night. Installed new water pump, thermostat and housings. Fixed the leaking rad overflow tank. Still need to figure out why the windsheild sprayer isn't working. Hopefully this is everything for a while now.

Been driving it more. spent literally 7 minutes to install a wireless backup cam I bought from costco maybe 9 months ago. Not perfect, but better than nothing. With whatever level tint the PO put on the back I’ve been worried about hitting someone backing up at night.
