Love the X front fold down seat. stacked 6 sheets of 8' X 2' Roof Tin. Perfect fit. 12 footers Nadda chance..
Did add Heavy Coat near the driver side. BOY did I made sure ZERO chance of a T-Bone crash.. Even with coat covering sharp edge, might shear My Cranium clean off.

For Garden Raised beds.. Bored its winter.. must start early... Sharp edges, Power tools & Beer were used. ;-)

A fold down front seat!!!!! Why has this secret been kept from us gen 1 owners? Almost but not quite worth trading up. Love the round headlights though ……..

Fold down seats are a wonderful edition. So handy for both hauling lumber, Sleeping, Setting a Pizza box on seat while driving. I love that folding seat.

Like some owners find out the Xterra has two glove boxes..

Well.. now that you ask..
Under the Two cup holders pry that up holder up with a Dime.. you will have a nice hiding spot for Cell phones, cash, Fire arms, Etc.. its a nice hiding spot..
I think that is the Black box to capture Your crash data..

We second Gen's are special folk.. ;-)

Wow! I never knew the greatness of Gen 2 owners. Wait don’t tell me, you also do border crossings with exotic reptiles stuffed in your pants just for fun ;). Someone should publish a tell all like “A Guide to the Secret Lives of Gen2 Xers”. The world deserves to know the truth

Where do you find this at, I've looked all over the place for mine. I'm assuming it would be by the shifter, is it closer to the 1st gear, or 6th?

Finally received the rock slide engineering tire rack. Mounted the propane tank mount to it.

Is that a warming blanket? Have a link to that?
Yeah. It's an rv water tank heating pad. Insulated, with an automatic thermo-sensor. It's designed to keep a water tank from freezing.

I think this one is what I'm using (I just woke up, and am too lazy to do the math for the circumference of my 5lb tank)

H&G lifestyles RV Holding Tank... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1DLN28W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I like the bubble foil wrap around tank.

Wonder how much it will rattle and wobble on Washboard roads. Vs stuffing in a Milk crate Like us poor folk do..
rattits
its a 5lb tank. The 20lb tank only gets used with the trailer, but does sit in a milk crate on the tongue.

The cam strap is super tight, and I can pull really hard on the tank, and the whole X rocks. I think it'll be fine.

Did a big scrub down two days ago, wire brushed all the rust off the front part of the frame, and today hit it with rust reformer. And reinstalled the engine skid I returned to black a couple nights ago.

That looks damn good. What did you use to wire brush? one on a drill? Will you paint over the rust reformer? I need to do this as well.

I just did it with hand brushes since it was just the area in the picture. Harbor Freight has a variety size pack and they have a smaller curved one that was good for the corners. I’m just going to leave it as is and then hit it with fluidfilm or equivalent once it’s definitely cured. Last night I was doing UCAs and took care of the middle and back sides of the coil bucket and will work my way back over the next week or so.

Not so much the rig, as testing the diesel heater after a failed attempt last weekend.

Bought a voltage Regulator, since it complained about having too much voltage, wired it inline using anderson powerpole connectors, and hooked it up to the battery this morning. It fired right up.

Gonna let it run all day and see how it does.

Take a look at what Lifestyle Overland had to say about the diesel heater. Kevin has some good tips regarding them.
