Now.... for those who have a Heftyfab bumper, what’s missing in the pic above?

b35a877dabefb4f2738b1c59ab7e6423.jpg

The DAMNED nuts to mount the freakin’ bumper to their plates!!! I just can’t win lately. They are willing to send me the nuts but I asked them if they can send me a patch and I’ll get the nuts myself. Then I’ll have it done tomorrow and I can work on t
When I got my Hardcore bumper and went to mount it Cory had grabbed bolt's from the wrong bin and they would only grab maybe 2 thread's into the nut . Missed it by a bin !!

Nisstec adjustable red shackle's . Just used the first hole which add's an inch of lift .
Back wheel well sitting at 37 3/4" ; Front at 35 3/8" ; This is measured on a slight hill in front of the house .
With the new bumper/winch I added at least 230lb's so new HD coil's are in the future, probably just get new coil spring pack pre-assembled from Nisstec . 20210909_125357.jpg20210909_125416.jpg

Changed the cabin filters in the wife’s X1 - man those Germans really want you to pay the dealer to do it. Had to remove 2 nuts to remove a panel under the glovebox, to be able to remove another panel (passenger left kickplate) held in by a torx bolt. Then it’s jammed back up in there, 2 pieces like ours (Gen2) but vertical.

Anyways, since I was already in the garage I went ahead and swapped out my number 5 ignition coil and spark plug (threw pending p0305 a few weeks back), and going to go for a test run fairly shortly here.

Finally put the hub-bearing assembly on the passenger side . Within the last 2 week's it was getting hard to keep it going straight down the road . No noise what so ever while driving but when I grabbed the top and bottom of the tire today [ I put the 33's back on today ] it probably had an inch of slop  . Driver side don't feel bad but I got one to replace that side also . Forgot to take a proper pic until I had rotor/brake's bolted back on. o_O20210916_165245.jpg20210916_164230.jpg

Should always use new crush washers. But there aren't any on the frame to axle lines. It's just flare nut on both sides.
So the four total the lines came with are enough? There shouldn’t be a washer on each side of the banjo fitting?

So you’re saying all four washers are used on the front lines, and none for the back? I haven’t been up under mine to check yet - I’m basing this off a comment elsewhere complaining that there are six OEM washers.

I haven’t been able to find a good YouTube video specific to the Xterra process, so I’m flying blind.

You need 2 washers for each connection to each caliper. So you only need 8 of the washers. And since it looks like he didn't change the caliper hoses on the rear, just the hoses from the frame to the axle, he didn't disturb any of the washers.

You need 4 washers for the front. One on either side of the banjo fitting. And if you're doing the rear caliper lines also, Crown doesn't use a banjo bolt. Just a screw in fitting. So that only requires one washer.

There are no crush washers in any other brake fittings. I should know. Turns out that I'm replacing EVERY BRAKE LINE ON THE TRUCK.

Well I did the driver side hub assembly today , it went twice as fast after learning on the passenger side :D
It was soooooooo much easier than trying to learn to operate Jeff's tire machine [ the newer one ]
If there's not a "how to" I took a few pic's along the way and can make a how to . It's simple and straight forward 6 bolt's ,1 nut and cotter pin . And 3.5 gallon's of Anti-seize :p
[ I PUT THAT SHAIT ON EVERYTHING }
Frank's Red Hot pun intended !!

Cleaned up the sorry looking butt plastics and have the front bumper/suspension and frame a fresh coat. (Bumper got 2 coats of Steel-it, frame got the engine paint). Prepped with 180 grit sanding sponge and some wax and grease remover.

How's the slack on those brake lines at full droop?

Weird. I’m 99% sure I replied. Anyhow, they’ve got plenty more slack than the sensor wire. I ordered 2” longer than stock and my stock ones with sway bar were stretched to the point I wasn’t comfortable. These are just right for my ~2” lift.

Blacked out the rear badge with plastidip, installed front camera inside front Nissan badge, and painted the front badge to match the wheels (graphite). I scuffed it up and cleaned it, used plastic adhesion promoter, then graphite wheel paint. Then put on black vinyl stickers and did four coats of clear bedliner. This morning I thought the texture was a little much and it was a little too glossy, so I wet sanded with 1200 grit, cleaned it again, then hit it with three coats of the matte clear wheel paint. Probably should have just done that instead of bed liner but I’m still very happy with the result.

I need to either bring it farther forward or drop it to below the top grill because too much is cut off by the bottom of the emblem. It’s as far forward as possible without drilling into the actual emblem. If you look at the one on the new Frontier or latest Titan it kinda sticks out beyond the front.

Also between yesterday and today:
Cleaned all the glass really well inside and out, did Rain-X on all the exterior glass, and did new wipers all around. Bosch Envision 24” and 19” (stock is 18” but could have done 20”) for the front (gift card rebate made them cheaper than Icon and all the Rain-X ones), and basic Duralast 14B for the rear (stock is 12”).
