yeah, i use fram tough guard.. about $8 for the filter, y? because this is what I have been raised to use I guess.. the only filter my family will buy. The oil is kind of pricey... I go to walmart and purchase the 5-quart jug for about $18

When your family came up using Fram, they were good filters. They were made by Allied Signal. They are now supplied by Honeywell International Inc. and the quality is just about the lowest on the market. Many of the no name filters are either made by the same company or are better than Fram. Sad but true.

Installed a super quick fist in the rear cargo area to hold a fire extinguisher and installed a new LED Maclite w/ mounting bracket to my utility box.

It is 38* out right now. And there was quite a giggle last night after i worked on the truck then ran home to get my dress and tights. My moms quote was "You are covered in dirt, your jeans are filthy you have dirty hands and you are carrying a dress on a hanger. OMG look at your fingernails, and you have dirt on your face. What have you done to my little girl?" She knows how to make anyone laugh.

Didn't happen...... Zingggg

Zingggg!

I got tied up yesterday, a friend of mine had his house broken into. They stole all of his TV's, there was 4, all 32-46" and they were all LCD. I just got a 60" Plasma to replace my 56" DLP. As soon as I heard what happened, I loaded my 56" DLP into the back of the X, drove over there and gave it to him. I took the picture, I just didn't post till today.

Very cool of you to do - sorry to hear about your friend's break-in. That completely sucks.

OK, so I've done a bunch of little stuff for the X that I just don't have time to post up about, but.... bigger stuff is coming. (Thanks to my hugely, incredibly generous, crazy guy). Here's a pic of the first batch - now just waiting and hoping to Gawd that the OME springs will truly land in America to be delivered to us anxiously awaiting persons.

I love shiny new parts, I drooled over your pic BigMeanTam!

I have been given lots of things, cars, speakers, computer equipment, cars, home theater stuffs and, ummm...cars. When I am able to, I like to pay it forward. Even my Xterra was a gift, the best I have ever received.

Gift cars in the last 6 years (listed in order received):
98 Ford Thunderbird 5.0
88 Ford Ranger
70 Ford Bronco Full Size w/37" MT's (floorboard was just above my waist)
98 Ford Explorer 4x4
01 Nissan Xterra

As you can see, even though they were mostly Fords, I have gotten my share of free stuff. My friend almost didn't want to take the TV, then I told him I WAS NOT loading it back up. lol

Just back inside form taking apart my passengers door, the speaker was coming un plugged. Also stopped by house that had some KM2's sitting out for sale $80.00 OBO Looked like it had decent tread left and looked like 32-33's not sure the rim size I'm thinking of calling and seeing if they fit my rims and offering him lower than 80

Big thumbs up! Been very fortunate myself, and try to do as you do when I can. Your friend is lucky to have you, in the midst of not such a lucky event.

It's always been give and take between me and my close friends, it always comes back around. It's almost like we share everything we have (at the most sell it for DIRT cheap, like lunch or something). It makes me feel good to help friends, especially since I was not going to use the TV anymore. It was sitting in my office collecting dust.

Back on topic, I just ordered my 3rd brake light cover from Creepy! Yay. Only bad thing is his graveyard graphics logo is on the outside of my rear window over the brake light, it will need to be removed (hint, hint Creepy).:sad2:

Cool! I'll bet Creepy'll put a little extra Creepy something when he sends your brake light sticker - he seems to be good that way. I like his brake light covers, but I already have an "XTERRA" one on there right now that I kinda like. Will probably keep that one for awhile.

Painted my lower radiator support. Definitely not ideal painting conditions, but I had to get something on the raw steel before winter.

Any guesses as to what the secret weapon is?

Sent to you from my very own piece of East Coast paradise...

Uh, some bright lights in the rear? haha, no idea. Just a guess...

Well my dad came over to help me on another project today and afterwards we tackled my hitch. We did it without any PB Blaster. Strictly boots, some big kicks, and a BFH!

You're the closest yet, but still wrong! I'll give in though:

It's a brake light interrupter switch...so I can hit the brakes and no lights come on.

Sent to you from my very own piece of East Coast paradise...

Also nice for slowing down in front of a speed trap w/out looking like "That Guy" who just slammed on his brakes when he spotted the LEO... (just sayin').

I have to admit that when I used to drive a tow truck, there were one or two occasions when a super bad tail gater got a reminder from big backwards facing work lights...

Dude gotta take that wiring harness mount off and put the wiring in the bumper, it will probably get ripped off, off road, this will save you from either doing it (mounting it) twice or having to buy a new one.

Good point. I like the way it looks on the bumper anyways. I'll probably grind it off this spring when I can throw some paint on it afterwards with some warm weather.

I did this mod and it rocks. I ripped off my wiring harness thingy when sliding into a muddy waterhole. Just need a plasma cutter and drill and you're basically set on that mod. Quick and easy.

I got my SOGfari machette/axe/knife/shovel set in the mail, wooo (got it at half price on black friday *giggles*)! Now my X is all set for the great Idaho outdoors!

I installed Rancho 5000 series all the way around. Rolled the threaded stud off of the right rear upper mounting stud. Had a guy at CarX weld me a new threaded end on. The old shocks were the original Nissan 2001 ones. I could literally extend and compress them with very little effort. The truck is so much better now. Can't wait to get it off road.

Yeah, I messed mine up pretty badly (not just the tab but the plug as well) and ended up mounting it in the bumper.

Fixed some things that needed to be fixed big time.

If anyone remembers I had that big wet spot near my passengers front tire, well I'm about 99.9% sure its a leaking power steering. The resivour was below minimum level and the hoses around it were all caked with crap. So I used a lot of this Lucas stop a leak and filled it up to the HOT MAX level and we will see if it fixed the leak where ever it is. Also my X wouldn't started yesterday or today...the positive battery terminal came clear off so I replaced it was well, and my CB wire is attached better than before.
