Weird lol some couldn't at all

I could hear you on Tuesday but it was not clear. I totally forgot to tell you and see if we could tune it better after that trail. I keep my SWR meter in my center council for some weird reason.

I'm telling you man, last year I had a crazy black preacher man screaming some religion while I was on the trails. Everybody thought I was crazy until gamecock ride with me and heard him.

I hear you on that, I get truckers all the time. When I'm in a convoy I just crank up the whatdoyoucallit knob to cut them out. Also down here I either hear this guy talking to aliens all the time (within 100miles) he has some crazy setup. Or I swear Mexican drug deals (I can speak Spanish) but they sound dangerous.

Yes! That was hilarious!

I had killer reception / transmission last year. Up at the event area I was successfully talking to people at the gas station in town. You guys need to get your ish right. Heh.

Being in the back, I'm not sure who all I could hear, but I could only hear Jenna sometimes. I could hear lot of other people, but I couldn't tell who it was talking most of the time. I have not tuned my setup, but in tests that I've run with friends on highways, I can hear, and be heard a pretty good distance. I know... I need to get an swr and try and tune my setup, but I don't think it's too far off. We should have a group radio "set-up" session prior to the night run next year.... although.. the logistics of that aren't too practical...I dunno.... I may be running ham by the event next year anyway

Im pretty sure Luke said his CB was messed up

Well, if you look into the WentWindrock user guide, and all associated documentation, I'd like to refer you to article 4.1.06-2: "all users are required to have their vehicles and equipment in WORKING order". Sounds like somebody didn't read the rule book. We all signed a waiver you know.

Sweet. I'll have to take you up on that soon. Which operator's license did you get(technician/general/extra)? I'd assume with what I would be using it for the technician would be fine, but I might want to start playing around with some HF stuff at some point.. so maybe general? I dunno...

Agreed.
Sounds like you have the same deal I do metz. I can literally hear cb traffic from an undetermined distance outside the park but I literally pick up truckers talking. Everyone seems to hear me just fine and for the most part I can hear everyone, Casey was the only one I really had an issue hearing this year. Last year we just decided that even with my swr being about 1.5 my setup is the "perfect" setup for my truck, and that changing it would just mess up my transit and receive strength.
You and me both, I think I'm ranged into about a 3 mile radius in the flat lands, 1 in the hills, and almost everyone on the trail can be heard and I can talk to them.
Well I heard almost everyone and no one could hear me... and I wish someone told me at the beginning of the trip lol. Completely untuned cb
It was a coin flip if I knew what you said

I feel like I was a relay when we split up after Tim went into limp mode.

It gets pretty chilly at night. Last year I had to bring extra blankets. Gets in the low 60's at night in case you wanted to go primitive.

I'm not sure. All he has done is call and reserve the cabin (it's a deluxe cabin). He hasn't put a deposit down or anything. I think all he needs to do is call and tell them. He's in the middle of moving right now, so I doubt he'll be very active here until he gets settled in.
