XN is here for your Xterra community needs.

We do have a short and sweet, no bullshiat rules list that you can see here: https://www.xterranation.org/index.php?threads/the-new-xterranation-rules-and-regs.7929/

Our general chat thread is here: https://www.xterranation.org/index....olume-4-what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-jim.8643/

If anyone that was a mod/admin on TNX and is interested in carrying that on, please PM me and we can discuss. I will let it be known that we will not be adding any admins at this juncture, but mod positions are definitely up for grabs.

Regarding copying posts / information from TNX. It's my understanding that AG has taken ownership of all your content. By extension, I imagine they claim to have copyright on all of your content. This puts XN in a difficult position. If you copy all of your posts from TNX to here and I get any kind of C&D or DMCA from AG, that gets messy. I personally will never put corporate interests above your content. We will see how that plays out. But I just wanted to raise a red flag about it. Please do not directly link anything back to TNX.

One last thing. Please search before adding how-to and DIY threads. If the thread already exists, it might be exactly what you're going to post. If you have different insights on a thread that has been posted, please simply add to the existing thread. That will help combat AG and their power grab.

Welcome. Make yourselves at home. And share the bourbon machine.

For those of you interested in supporting membership, it is currently broken but I hope to have it back up and running tonight.

Prime...Thanks much for the welcome! Hopefully, we'll be able to get a good chunk of the active TNX members to hop over here. Along with whatever how-to's & related-type of threads to carry over.

Long time listener, first time caller. I was "LBX" on the other site, but botched my email addy when trying to register here, so I had to use my old TNX forum name here.

Also please know that our site is extremely mobile friendly. No need for tapatalk or any of those other apps. Just load in browser and there you go.

I kept my username the same as it was in TNX, just added “!” And went with the boy Seth Rogan instead of booster gold for the pic! The forum interface when viewing via mobile is great! I’m a fan! Thank you prime & XN

I like when forums are easily used in a mobile browser. It's just easier to deal with than a half dozen different apps.

A reminder for you guys moving your threads from TNX: If you just copy your posts over, AutoGuide changes the links and images to link through them. So all your pics are linked to TNX. Now, we don't care where you host your pics, but if you care that AG is claiming your stuff, you might want to go through your threads and relink to the original sources.

Thanks for setting this up! With the changes and movement away from TNX, I was starting to get worried that all of that concentrated knowledge would dissipate and eventually get lost. So thanks for holding the community together.

Hahahah you are all noobs now. :D

I have to admit though I haven't poked my nose in here in a very long time, but with the TNX drama I wanted to see what landed here. It's, umm, different. Maybe in a good way, guess I'll see. Still doesn't look very active but it appears TNX is helping that a bit.

Welcome back. It is different both from previous versions / ownership and from TNX. @Prime and @Muadeeb have been working on the functionality of the website for some time now and have done exceptionally well.

Here we strive to be a helpful community and have fun while doing so. No pain in the butt ads and this is a drama free zone. So feel free to browse, chat, lurk, peek, poke, but don’t tickle.

Again, Thanks for the welcome, and for leaving the light on for us.

It's really really weird to be a noob with barely a double digit post count Hell, I think I was in the top 20 or 30 posters on TNX..... or maybe that was poser.... o_O

Thank you. I think it was under previous management when I departed. I guess "lost interest" is more accurate as I don't recall any particular reason for no longer participating, but I do remember a strange vibe that irked me. To put it bluntly I felt this place was strange and not in a good way. And if I get irked again I'll likely do the same. But I like friendly and helpful and fun, so if that checks out, you might see more of me.

Looks like a LOT of stuff has happened with my X since I was here, so if you guys didn't surf TNX well it will be fresh material.

Like stopping at a train wreck, I stopped back over, to update my “don’t you dare email me”, and I saw a post about using their “Showcase” for our new build threads, and I went off a bit.

That said, is it possible to get a “back to top” button on the bottom of a thread page?

I’m nowhere near as techy or have the abilities of @Prime and @Muadeeb but I’m sure they can check.

To confirm, just a button at the end of the thread that basically shoots you directly back to the top of the browser/page, correct?

Yes, I agree one would be nice if possible. Just a single click to jump back up top to navigate away from the current page.

I just deleted all my photos from imgur and those links are now broken in TNX. The thumbnails still show up; I don't know if TNX has those or if they are cached on my machine.

Does anyone know if you can delete photos from Tapatalk?

Cached on you machine. shift+F5 to force a refresh, and they should go dark for ya. Tapatalk pics reside on Tapatalk servers. No touching those

I just migrated all my photos onto my home NAS server... Got a domain for it too (pics.josx2.com) I'm now *finally* in 100% control of my pics. Will be updating my build thread pics with the new links, porting over my how-to's, and then turn off my previous image sharing so all my TNX images go dark.

Oooor.... Maybe, if I can, replace all the pics on my old host with pics that say come over to XterraNation ::need-evil-emoji::

HAHAHAHAHA!! This is gonna be awesome! The host provider I've used to host my images in TNX allows me to actually REPLACE one photo for another! The links stay the same...so wherever the image is linked...the new pic will show instead :D

On left is what it looks like over on TNX when I replaced the first pic shown. On right is how it looks here, which is how it used to look over ther

I can't wait to litter TNX with this! Bwahahahahha!

As hilarious as I may think that is, that could be a bad thing. The last thing any of us needs is AG trying to claim that they own that graphic since it's posted on their site in a post that existed before I had the graphic made. There could be some legal ramifications there. So feel free to make it something like a middle finger, but please change it from our logo.
