Well that was a big waste of time drove clear up to Michigan. when we got there i handed the guy my down payment signed the paperwork then he asked if I had a check form the bank. Apparently the guy was supposed to get the banks name on the title as having a lean on the truck and send it to the bank guess what the stupid ass did not do it. I called the bank and had them talk to him about it and he refused to turn the truck over to me until her got the money so long story short I drove up there for nothing. This guy had a week to get this stuff taken care of.
Um @harryron i think your confusing the welcome thread for the postwhore thread.

First Fill-Up (of many)
Hi All! Owned my '05 OR since 2009. Decided to finally check out XN. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Right in the middle of some much needed suspension upgrades for my X (Finally). Got the SPC uppers w/ 600# Radflo's up front. Just got my Alcans yesterday along w/ PRG ajustable shackes that I hope to install in the coming weeks. After that, MAXTERRA's bumper w/ swing out and dual gas can should be here! Should have done all this awhile ago.

Here are some trips from over the years...the X has taken me to a lot of places...

Hi Everyone,
Long-time xTerra owner.
I had my 1st-Gen for 16 years and put 390,000 brutal miles on her over that time. From daily driver to crazy off-road adventures I'd never do now that I know better, i was surprised she lasted as long as she did.
My new X is a 2nd Gen and I plan on treating her much better on and off-road. I have no doubts I will have her for the next two decades.
I look forward to getting to know the members of this group!

Welcome to XN! 390k! Nice! Sounds like the new X has a lot to live up to.

If you want to get to know the group, here is the thread where people hang out. https://www.xterranation.org/index....volume-6-wash-your-hands-on-the-way-out.9388/

Howdy All!

Have had my 2013 Xterra S, automatic, for about a year now. Have added skids, a rear bumper/tire carrier sliders and heavier rear springs/shocks so far. Waiting on a plate bumper from Shrockworks to add a winch and 650# coilovers/shocks. I'm beginning to gather parts to switch out to M-226 and M-205 differentials. I will certainly be hitting you all up with questions when I start that project!

Obviously, I really love my Xterra! I haven't wheeled in over 30 years (I used to wheel in a Bronco II- not near as capable as the Xterra), I'm still a bit rusty at it, but I am learning. All I need now is to find some folks to wheel with in SE New Mexico, since all the guys I used to run with are out of it altogether.

I've been lurking on the site for quite awhile. I'm really impressed with the information here and all of the knowledgeable folks!

New to the site, so figured I’d say hello from central Washington. I bought a 2010 S in 2010 and still love the thing. Started modifying it a few years ago and, like everyone else, am still not done. I’m not a dude who posts a bunch on forums unless I have something constructive to say, so you probably won’t see a ton of comments from my dumb a$$. I did, however, discover this site for the first time a half hour ago, so I will be doing a ton of reading. Look forward to snatching up a bunch of info!

New here! I obtained this Gen 1 in late July 2020. I haven't had the opportunity to do any upgrades over the last 9 months, just maintenance and fixing the suspension. It's definitely a fixer upper. All the body damage came with her...

Welcome from Denver. Feel free to ask anything. We tend to know our way around an X.
I'm in Denver too!
I already have a question. Some of the links that are embedded in people's build progress or event the how to's go to a section that need an upgrade system login.... Does that part come with time?

No. Thats a bug from the latest software update I did. It's a problem with redirects from the old forum software. I'm working on it.

Hey y'all! Just found out about xterranation after visiting the xterra subreddit. I've been on TNX since about september when I picked up my '05 6 speed. I believe it is the S trim and its 4wd but because its an early 05 model it doesn't have the VDC.

I got this x after my 2002 X got totaled. I loved that old truck but the 2nd gen is an upgrade in every way. Plus I didn't have the 6 speed before. This truck is a blast to drive and its super comfy inside. Glad to be here!

Cool history! Welcome to XN from the foothills of CO!

I've been attending the Washougal Nationals sine 2005! Who did you ride with and what yrs?
Dayam, just saw your question, answer is long & ancient history, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Late 60’s while in Hi school & riding a Hodaka 100, lol, I turned wrenches for Lompoc Valley Sportcycles after school & the owner sent me to Yamha’s “ tech” school in LA. He “sponsored” me & let me ride his 250 & 500 Maicos in all the local AMA So-Cal MX, Desert events. I eventually worked my way up to AMA‘s Divion 9 plate #7 early to mid 70’s, then Yamaha International out of Monticello CA offered me rides, but no $$. Cool, time to travel out where they paid $$ instead of a trophy, a hat, & jersey. When doing the Florida swing, Gatorback, Daytona, ect., I Met Mickey Boone & he invited me to his home close to HILLBILLY WORLD Tennessee, that ran Fri, night, all day Sat, & Sunday MX. Yamaha still provided me with new YZ 125, 250, and open bikes every 6 months. Oh, the YZ 360 was “Open” back then. The AWESOMENESS about HW was they paid in cash and raced every month, and sometimes twice. On just about any weekend @ HW I could pick up from $1500.00 to 2500.00 in CASH ! I rode two, and sometimes all three classes back to back.
Early 70’s that $$ would go a long way & I then stayed on the East side of the country as all the tracks paid out in cash instead of “contingency” prizes. (who could eat a hat, new pair of boots or leathers)
Anyway, got married & by the mid 70’s I was offered a Suzuki dealership in Florence SC & settled down in SC, but still competitive in all things off road until the French luxury boat builder, BENETEAU, built a factory in Marion SC & Beneteau USA offered me an incredible job in the world of sailboats. 17 years latter, retired, fat, happy, but miss my old West Coast country dirt stomping grounds something terrible. But, it seems Calli has F’ed itself up very badly. My sister is in Santa Ynez, I visit, get depressed & come home from what was my home.
Damn that was way to long. Sorry.

I think I’ve purchased a 2007 xterra, not sure the actual trim. Carfax calls it a off road, maybe just because it’s 4x4. I should get in a day or two, they have to fix a rear spring. It seems to be in great condition for its age, rust wise that is.
looking forward to getting off road with the old girl soon
Hey. Where you from? Once you get your Xterra take some picks snd start a build thread. We can help figure exactly what model you got and pretty much anything else

Thankfully the models are pretty easy to tell apart once you're initiated. You can typically pick them out going down the road. LOL

Usually. Unless you have someone that put the Off Road and Pro4X badges on theirs, with SE rims on it (legit saw one driving through once, I could tell it was all wrong because the badge spacing was off, it didn't have the roof boobs, and I think it was too new for the SE to exist anymore, had the wrong stereo, and a few other things were off about it)
