Warning Light combinations

Hey folks,

I know when certain warning light combinations come on it can have specific meanings.

In my case for the first time the A/T oil, Brake and Battery lights stayed on. Does this combination mean anything?

The A/T oil and Brake lights have never been on before. I tried the 3 key turn reset (resets the P/S airbag light I think) and the lights went out. With NXM next week I'm not wanting to see lights come on.

Any suggestions?

Check your alternator belt. I had that light combo and my belt broke leaving me sitting along the interstate!

I believe the nut that goes on the stud on the back of the my Quest alternator loosened up one time causing the same issue. The flange nut isn't locking and vibrated loose. I used a lock washer and new nut.

Ben, I was thinking the same thing. When I put it on I had a problem with the wire fitting squarely on so the nut wasn't fitting on squarely either. I'm thinking it's worked itself loose/off.

I'm not looking forward to having to go back in that small space w/ these large hands/finger to screw that small nut on.

Yeah my alt nut had actually arced so much the nut was horribly deformed. I think mine may also have been not properly seated. Meh hard to tell can't really see it Yeah I hate working on the alt. Always dread it. Thankful I haven't done it after a muddy trail. Though I've done it at a campsite. Sucks either way.

t was the alt nut. It had loosened enough that the wire wasn't making the connection. Took me more time figuring out how to put a 14mm something on it to get it to turn than actually turning it. gotta get some loctite.
