We are going camping!
And wheeling!

We will hopefully be camping at the same site we did for WAW. I say hopefully because - it is first come, first serve. If anyone wants to volunteer to ride out early on the 16th to secure the space, by all means please let Josh know.

We will be using the Sheetz in Harrisonburg as a meet up again. This is the perfect place to top off, get last min supplies, and anything else before we roll through town and hit the trails. It is aprx 30 mins from the dirt road, so plan accordingly.

For the record:
We will need wood.
It might get cold.
It will get dark at night.
You can invite your jeep, yota, samurai buddy
If you think you have enough food, you don't.
Same goes for beer, it gets cold and you need to warm up somehow.

(also, this will be in GWNF so all the laws of the area are in effect. That goes for guns and such)

we are looking to secure the same site that we had at WAW. Its big enough to hold the campers and stage the day trippers. The meet up points will be the same as WAW because the gas station is the perfect place. This time we have some information regarding trails on the other side of the road as well

No, Camp Vacksy is a clear spot in the woods where we make camp. It's a big clearing with two small auxiliary spots attached.

It's our home away from home up there.

Currently flamethrowers are not classified by the atf to my knowledge. California does regulate them (obviously because half of that state burns every year), but do something stupid with one and it would not surprise me to see you get charged with a class III offense and it be considered an AOW (any other weapon) under the NFA.

About the timing - we are meeting up at the Sheetz in Harrisonburg by 8am-ish. People will need to get gas, grab last min stuff, etc. So I see us rolling out of that parking lot by about 8:30am.
Camp site is about 30-40 mins away, so that gets us there by 9:15ish. Then some of us are setting up our tents - with that I want to roll out onto the trails by like 10:30 at the very latest.
However, we are a pretty flexible club and will be having a few different groups. Also, these systems are not huge. So if someone shows up to camp a little bit late, we can send someone back to scoop them up.
The main thing about this event is to have fun. Things do not always go as planned, we learned this last time. But it doesn't matter if you are day tripping or camping - try to plan to be at the Sheetz by around 8am or PM me if you need to work something out. We will have plenty of people who know the area so we can work things out. I want to make sure we provide every opportunity to get everyone out there who wants to get there.

Yeah we bumped into him.
Or better, he creeper into our camp all ninja like right before dusk and spooked us. After going around and checking on everything, he let us know someone said a group of Xterras ripped down a gate.
Funny - the only group of Xterras were at Flag/Meadows and we never touched 2nd mountain because of the flat.

We explained it to him, he was cool and checked out our rigs. Other than being insanely creepy, nothing happened.

Thanks for following up on that thread man. I would hate to think people are out there accusing us of tearing things down. We felt bad about holding those guys up on the trail too - but the dude with a flat was literal smack in the middle of the trail - on the hill. There was no way they were getting around us so we had to hustle and get him changed.
