For the Texas folks, the Texas 4wheel drive organization is having their annual Statewide meet. It will be held September 28-29 at Brazos valley Offroad Ranch in Bryan Texas. The gates open at 7am Saturday morning. If anyone is interested the price is $10 for the entire weekend! Let me know.

Dang it I'm moving that weekend. And I'm not telling my friends about it - because I need them to help me move. LOL

I agree, but Bryan/college station is 1.5hrs from Houston, 2.5 from Dallas/fort worth, 1.5from Austin and 2hrs from San Antonio. So it's pretty centrally located. It's not like it's 9hrs for most people.

So, it's 8.5hrs each way for me, and, short notice, which means, even if I were inclined to make it, that's a 1020 mile round trip...only 300 miles short of being a trip to Moab.... Next year, start planning, and throwing the info out much earlier and I bet you'll get more people showing up...

Mind you, I don't mean any of the above in a bad way, just shedding some light and a different perspective...

I can understand your position being 8.5hrs, obviously this wouldn't be something that you would/could make on a short notice. But with as many Xterra owners as there is in the "big" cities it's not a hard stretch for them to make a weekend. Especially for a entire weekend for only $10, tell me where in the world you can wheel all weekend for that price, or even just o r day... So even for those that have something one day, 2hrs isn't unreasonable to drive and make a day trip out of it.

The OHV area here is free so long as you have your sticker ;). But, I get your point. I'm just saying, if it's supposed to be statewide, plenty of warning is important, as Mac said, Texas is Effin HUGE!

What OHV area are you near? I hear what y'all are saying, and yes I dropped the ball for the whole state, but better late than never.

Canadian river OHV/Rosita Flats national park...

Aka "the river"

As long as you have your Texas OHV sticker, it's totally free, primitive camping anywhere you want, for free, and wheel as long as you want, for free ;)

It's pretty decent...Muadeeb and Macland came up in April....everyone else had stuff come up....
