And it's back! Awesome opening episode. I'm going to try and not give anything away in case someone reads this by accident before watching, but how about that guy from that one place in that earlier season that is back?

How about on the talking dead when they mentioned that one person that hasn't been seen in a long time?

No Sanctuary...

Yes, that one guy from way back.

I didn't think that one woman was eaten alive, guess not.

How about Conan Obrien being funnier on the Talking Dead than he is on his own show...

...and all this time I thought Obrien was not capable of being funny...

So I am wondering if Carol is going to stick around under the different circumstances than what she initially thought she was going to find at terminus.

Yea I think she sticks around. I see a michonne and rick hookup happening soon

Who was the guy at the end? Was that the other survivor from the very first episode? The one who went crazy that they re-found and left in his little booby trapped town in season 3 (I think it was 3 or 4)?

Either way it was a great episode. The guy at the end though from the past times - the guy the cannibals took Terminus back from. Oh. Man. Spoilers. I can't. I read some of the comic guru's blog posts and I think I know who that guy is :D

The guy they took it back from is dead I think. He was the crazy guy with face tats I'm pretty sure. I think the person you're thinking of will be the main villain in this season and if they introduced him he will be the villain for at least 2 seasons if they go by the comics. And it will be awesome!

a lot of people seem to think that and there was something posted to my page that someone pointed out like 10 reasonable explanations why but it's all just opinions of course. i hope he tells them he's tainted meat like dale did in the comics lol

I told my wife about Dale telling them that and she couldn't stop laughing! Does anyone else think Eugene's little lie will be exposed this season?

I was surprised that no one on Talking Dead talked much about *the character* being a martyr and going out as a hero. I think they stashed the *tool* as a "just-in-case" back up not knowing if it would be needed or not. Once she saw Dawn was going to "kid-nap" Noah, she realized even if she left, the cycle would continue of snatching people. I think when she made the decision to go after Dawn, she knew she wouldn't walk away alive, but instead thought she was the only person in the position to break the cycle and liberate the other patients/prisoners, and did it for Noah and everyone else.

Even the actress on Talking Dead seemed to think it was her just being over-confident and thinking she would get away with it, but the story didn't seem that way to me.

On a side note...why did they agree to have the meeting IN the hospital and not a neutral site...and why did they even bring Noah along? If I had already escaped from there, against their will, I would NOT go back inside and expect them to just let me walk back out. I feel like everyone would have been OK if it wasn't Dawn making a split second decision to try and exert her dominance by demanding Noah back.

I like the show...but man, I am tired of the characters being put in danger due to their own (and Gabriel the priest's) stupidity. You are holding hostages, why believe their story and turn your back to them to look out the window at what they are talking about. Tyrese was watching a hostage outside of terminus with the baby and can't focus long enough to keep the kid safe, you are safe in the church, why go run away and lead a stampede of walker's back to your hide out. All of this stuff is fore-seeable and avoidable. It just blows my mind that after the time they spent surviving, they make seemingly illogical decisions.

So, if I have this right....you are trying to come to grips with people in horror movies making bad decisions?

Bad decisions that lead to potentially horrific consequences?

Like the way they make bad decisions in every horror movie ever made?

:kewl:

Examples:

Victim is chased by limping / Slow walking attacker...but doesn't seem to be able to gain ground despite a lack of injuries...and runs into a dead end instead of one of the many open doors to the outside.

Once trapped, as the gimpy menace slowly looms larger int he trapping room, the victim sees a table with 4 items, a machete, a hammer, an AK47 and a bowl of spaghetti. In a desperate attempt to fight back, the victim grabs the bowl of spaghetti and hurls it at the attacker.

The spaghetti temporarily blinds the attacker, and they stagger about in confusion. The victim watches this, preferably screaming or sobbing, etc...instead of using the delay to run back out of the room to freedom....and so on and so forth...that's the entire plot line, rinse/repeat.

What's DIFFERENT in the Walking Dead is that the characters, for the most part, are no longer afraid of the monsters...its PEOPLE that are scary now. So they are VERY competent at handling the walkers when the situation calls for it...BUT (BUT) when the story needs a little antagonistic corpse action, all of a sudden, they slip and fall, trip, turn ankles, go from hyper vigilant/aware of surroundings people, to clueless tourists. If that isn't enough, they grab the bowl of spaghetti, etc....when the story needs a particular situation to get FUBAR.

I liked the episode, it caught me off guard and it sucked seeing Emily Kinney so emotional on Talking Dead.

This seems like it would be another perfect opportunity to push Rick over the edge again (if he's not already over the edge now). He had a plan to get Beth and Carol back, who knows if it would've worked, it could've been worse. I just can't see Rick differing to people anymore like he differed to Tyrese for the hostage swap. He's got to go back to that my way or the highway attitude, too much has happened to the group this season that I feel like wouldn't have happened if Rick was running the show completely his way like he has in the past. Kind of like Key said on Talking Dead, in this episode he was one strike and your done, no second chances. I think he will stay that way for the rest of the season at least.

I do think this has been a pretty good season so far, not as slow as some of the other seasons have been, maybe due to the fact that we have some very well established characters that they don't have to flesh out as much now. Will be interesting to see how everyone reacts to Abraham and Eugene since they are back. I'm also curious as to what if anything happens to Gabriel the pastor.

Yea, I don't think Dawn meant to shoot her, I think it was just a reaction. Or thats what her face tells me after it happened... Still a very sad episode though

HAHAHA...OK, yes, you are right. People in horror movies make stupid decisions...I accept that. I've seen every episode of TWD from the beginning...and sometimes they are on point, smart, and nothing can stop them. Other times, they can't even get out of their own way.

Her face was the "OH SH!T" face after Beth falls down and she sees Darryl and the gang behind her. She meant to shoot Beth, but didn't think through the consequences.

On a side note, Dawn was not a sympathetic character, but Beth did stab her first. Self defense, no?
