First things first, if you're not caught up don't bother reading or even opening this thread.

This thread is for use in yakking about the walking dead TV series and how the comic book duck tails with the series, so don't come in talking about how the show sucks because it didn't go the way the comic book did. The big wigs have already said the show is like a remix of the comics so the pertinent stuff from the comic books is welcome discussion.

I enjoy the deviation from the comics it keeps me guessing. Sundays episode was great because I had no idea what was gobna happen lol. I thought the crazy lady was gonna have a group waiting for rick to ambush him and try to eat him. Also can anyone tell me why Rick didn't want his gun? And why he threw that gun he found away? I have a theory on why he doesn't want his gun but I'm not sure if I'm right. Also I feel bad for Rick he always sees the most effed up stuff

My questions from this episode are simple.

Who is the kid from the end going to kill if anyone?

What are the repercussions from that incident?

And are they going to notice that diseases transfer from swine to humans and vice verse? (I gotta give my brother in law credit for that one, he is a biologist and knew that one right off.)

I hope that the kid ambles into one of the kids rooms and the kids stop him with their new knife skills learned from "story time" thus creating a controversy between apparently Rick and Carol who differ on opinion on whether to allow kids to be kids, or training them to survive. I hope no one dies but I could see them having some causalities.

Repercussions, if it were me I'd lock each persons cell with chains and padlocks with their own keys that way you could sleep knowing even if there is a massive outbreak you could defend yourself from behind a safe set of bars. Also, this wouldn't prevent someone like this kid from going out and turning because he was alive when he went to the shower, but it would protect people sleeping unaware.

Oh yah, that lady was scary as hell! Like just crawled out of a TV with hair over her face crazy! I think a buddy system needs to be implemented. Rick handled himself in that situation, but you're right a group would have had him dead to rights.

The gun thing seemed like maybe he's lost his swagger or something. Like he lost his will to fight after the governor incident.

I think the kid will cause everyone to panic and think the prison is no longer safe and he kills one of the little girls but is killed by her at the same time. So you're sayin we will see Zombie Pigs? That would be awesome. I think the reason Rick doesn't want to use his gun is because of Andrea didn't she use his gun to kill herself? I hope they bring in more characters from the comics because they have pretty interesting story lines goin on there

No no no, not zombie pigs. I think that they have already shown that zombie animals isn't going to happen because there have been too many opportunities for it to already have happened. I think that the pig caught something, the boy caught it from the pig. Whatever it was was lethal and when humans die they reanimate. There's a reason pork was labeled "unclean" in Bible times and it wasn't for PETA reasons.

Yea I was thinking I would rather have cows than pigs but maybe they can't find any.

I would imagine that cows would have a much harder time not being caught by zombies. You could definitely find them in a different region where zombies wouldn't be as prevalent. The mountains would be somewhere cattle could out maneuver the zombies and where populations aren't as dense.

I'm thinking Carl is going to play a bigger part this season, just a hunch.

I thought hershell had cows on his farm right? Carl plays a huge part in the comics I'd love to see them go that route with him

At first I thought maybe they burnt themselves. Seems reasonable sorta. But I think whoever is feeding the zombies had a hand in it.

Idk if michonne ever lost a child I think she just doesn't want to get to close to anyone especially a baby, and she thinks that she may never have her own.

Yes rick is back. I think he's unstable and will go off the deep end again eventually.

I think one of the 2 sisters is feeding the walkers. They, and most of the other kids for that matter, seem entirely too comfortable around the "fenceline" walkers. Carl just doesn't seem to fit in with them. He's seen and done too much to even contemplate just "being a kid."

Y'alls theories are interesting.

I think Rick is back and stable, I think he's more level headed now. I think he's over his break down over Laurie and he's got his priorities back straight with his focus being on his kids and the survival of the group. I think most of all the "what do we do Rick?" aspect of things has dissipated because of the newly formed council and the way that people have stepped up into leadership roles within their community.

I have no doubt that Michone lost a baby because right before she was forced to hold the baby Beth said "people who lose their spouses are widows, kids who lose parents are orphans, what do you call a parent that has lost a child?"

I think she was talking about her dad and people in general and Carol. They may have the counsel but they still see Rick as the leader and he's bat sheet crazy. I don't think his whole breakdown was over losing laurie, I don't think he can handle the pressure of being a leader

We'll see...

Ok, so Rick still had the propensity to snap. I stand corrected, but at least it's not seeing your dead wife's ghost crazy.

Carol is in big trouble, she's lucky she's a girl because that may be the only thong that saves her from Tyreese, well that and Darryl assuming they make it back safe from their crazy run in with a huge herd of walkers.

If Glenn dies we riot. I agree.

I really liked the overall tone and message of this episode. Everyone has a job to do, even when things get tough you have a purpose and living up to that purpose sometimes involves risk.

I'm impressed they thought to isolate the children and I'm glad Carl is getting more responsibility. I think Hershel put him in his place a little bit just like he did everyone else which is good.

Michone and Darryl are a kick ass ninja death squad! Tyreese is a big mother trucker who needs to get his head on straight, hopefully he's not bit.

They would be getting ballsy with their character killings if Glen dies. But the did kill Lori, Shane, and Meryl (spelling off probably)

Yah I agree, I think it's a little early to kill off even a fringe main character. Hershel would be pushing it and anyone more important than him would be crazy imo. I think Tyreese's sister could die adding extra stress on him, I could see the other guy with Daryl, Michone, and Tyreese dying. I actually think we could see the governor back in action this next episode. Right now my YouTube doesn't work on my phone so I can't watch any of the TV spots for the upcoming episodes to make educated guesses.

at comic con we were told that the governor eventually gets out of the truck so we have to see him again. this episode was the best so far. glenn won't die yet its too much for him to die in my opinion he's one of the main characters right behind rick and carl. oh and maggie is way hotter in person than on the show lol. she shook my hand lol. yea i don't think carol being a woman saves her from tyresse, maybe the fact that Daryl has claimed her will but idk.
