All trap is, is hip hop without lyrics; simple as that.

Most producers nowadays are having to become more creative with trap music because it's all sounding the same.

Me. Carmack and Branchez are some of my favorite trap producers right now. Very original.

We have different definitions for trap music. My version of trap is the electronic 'bangers' that are like heavy house music (dubstep but deeper)..

so, did we ever actually figure out what the OP was about?

Or did we all just figure out some of us are getting old and music can get weird?

Jonny gave the basic description on page 3. I still say give me the classics. They don't make music like AC/DC any more. It's all autotuned synthesized garbage these days. (Oh god, I sound like my mother...)

I am with you on that, never really got into Trap stuff. I was just wondering, is that what they meant? I got confused by the original post in general tbh.

Makes me wonder if this was the mindset of people back in the 50's when rock & roll made it's grand entrance. I could just be at that age where I don't get it anymore. :) Might be time for me to join the Ol' Farts on Expedition Portal. Ha!!!!

I was talking to the lady about this, with the kid on the way and such we are starting to wonder the same thing. I think it would be pretty cool though for my kid to come across some of my music when they are a teenager.

Oh trust me. I agree, music has gone to crap. But I love and can appreciate ALL genres of music. My favorite bands are a bluegrass and a jazz band.

I just keep up with music is all. It's my life.

I have a 19 year old, a 15 year old, and a 4 month old (started early, ended late!) and I like some of what my older girls are into, but then again they like more of what I guess you could call rock-pop and Indie stuff.
