Transcooler w/fan + e-fan overheating at high speeds

I recently added a trans cooler with e-fan that i didn't plumb yet but have that fan on, pushing through the AC and radiator and directly wired in with the relay that controls my radiator e-fan. My issue is that when driving for longer periods of time (45min) on the highways, I get extremely hot temps. Is the fan blocking some air that should be easily passing through the AC and Radiator? It seems to happen at high speeds only, 65mph+ when the engine is warm already. a trans cooler is pretty simple install and even with hot trans fluid in it, shouldn't affect the engine temp? It is mounted about 2.5" from the AC condenser, is it creating a vacuum in front? As soon as i hit the exit ramps, it cools right down.

1. Alternate location for trans cooler and fan?
2. Remove trans fan?
3. something deeper, radiator, thermostat....etc.

The Fan shouldn't really be making a big difference on the highway. I would look at the radiator or possibly the water pump if it has never been changed out. I had an overheating issue going up slight hills at highway speeds. I put in a new 2 row supercharger radiator and that solved my problems.

It's more than likely a radiator / thermostat issue. I would suggest replacing the radiator with one from a supercharged X. It's a bit beefier and makes the cooling system a lot more efficient.

The culprit was a reverse wired fan on both the trans cooler and the rad fan. I remembered one was a pusher and one a puller but had them switched. Stupid problem. It works awesome now. At long red lights, you can see the temps actually cooling. Trans cooler + fan, large external filter and full syn drain and refill have been the largest power gain i have felt in this truck to date.
