Total Chaos is a California company, I have a hunch they've never seen snow nor road salt... their steering is burly, but road salt up in the PNW does seem to eat the bearings and bushings pretty quick... at least that what I think it is. Seems to only last a year or two.
Just recently rebuilt the steering components. New bearings, new bushings. Heim tie rods were done last year, so those are still good. Figured I'd load up the gap with grease and see if that helps keep the salt/water out...
Used Lucas X-heavy duty green grease, so hopefully that resists washout. Was thinking good almost use something super thick like a hitch ball grease, which is super sticky... maybe I'll try that next time!
